Forms Data Controls :: Repeater Displaying Bad Download URL?

I have a table that stores the URL to files in a folder that should be displayed for download by the site visitor.
In the database all the urls are correct.
I have problems with this one:
"MediaFilesA Programmer's Guide to ADO.NET in C#.pdf" (this is how it is stored in the DB)
When it is displayed it cuts of and thus the URL becomes invalid.
Requested URL: /Finska Institutet/MediaFiles/A Programmer's Guide to ADO.NET in C
All the other ones work fine, i assume this one is not working cause of the # character? How can i fix this so that the url will display correclty in all situations?

I have a section of a page with a repeater control on it, taking information from a database, to display the latest information available to users. However it would be preferable to be able to format this information, so that it can have line returns, bold and underline in it. Rather than just single line plain text.

I am having an aspx page whose design is like this. I have a table which is having 3 columns as..

I have a table called "Actors" in my SQL Server database. I want to retrieve all the 'actor names'from the ACTORS table and display into my .aspx page according to alphabetical wise. for example, the records starts with letter A should be displayed in a column, after that records starts with B will be displayed underneath that one,,,vice versa until Z.I don't want to display the entire actors name into one column because it makes my page looks awkward.

i tried a datalist and a repeater, but it does not show anything at all, when the controls are blank.

I have a user control that displays a shopping cart in an ecommerce application.
The main cart display is a repeater that renders as a html table. In one of those table columns, there is another repeater to display people associated with the products int he cart (it's a repeater in case there is a line item >1 with multiple people).
I've added an ImageButton that I want to use to change the person associated with the item. At first, when I'd click on it I was getting this error:
Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation.
So as an experiment I disabled EventValidation on the page (not the control it's self) and now I do not get an error, but I also do not ever hit the breakpoint I set in the innermost repeater's ItemCommand event.
So I wonder how I might do this without disabling EventValidation, because this control will show up on multiple pages and we don't want to edit them all. Also, I'll need to know not only the repeater containing the control's row that the event came from but also the row index of the repeater containg this one. Is this possible?

I'm so confused I wasn't even sure what to make the title so that it would make sense.
Here is what I have:

I have links at the top of the page that are the letters A-Z. What I want to do is click on one of the letters, then show only the div IDs that start with that letter. I can't figure out how to do this since I'm dynamically creating the ID names. I had it set up nicely with Javascript and CSS, but the function call was inside the repeater. The layout is changed now, and I don't understand how to make the div ID available outside the repeater.

what changed do I need to make to my code for it to achieve what I'm after.
At the moment I am getting a "cannot cast to type" error message with the below code.
I have also tried calling the ItemDataBound method in with the parent repeater tags and had no errors but when I clicked on the button it would just move back to the top of the page and would not hide or show any data. Also I have made the div style to none but the first record still shows its child but the rest don't.

I want to implement an image gallery in asp.net/C#. I am using sql server 2008, visual studio 2010 and .NET 4.0.
I have made a webpage and now want to display 6 images as thumbnails (and their names just below the thumbnails) at the center of the page. The format of the display is something like this:

Basic operation is like this:
I pull images from a database and then display them as above as thumbnails. The 1 2 3 Next> are links depending on whether there are more than 6 images pulled from the DB. So basically the numbering 1 2 3 4 Next> is dynamic depending on how many images exist. Can anyone give me a basic overview of how this an be achieved? Should I be using a asp:Repeater or a asp:DataList for this kind of a display?

I found this app on code project for a photogallery seperated into categories with thumbnail generation and a slideshow.
It has a photoinfo box where I would like to show a download button to download a zip file of the art work I post.
I created an app to upload the photo and zip files into folders separated by category and then save the paths and filenames to a database. But not sure where to proceed on this.

I have some doubt about GridView PageSize, for the example if my table have more than 100000 rows and i set PageSize=50, i can see GridView trying to download whole 100000 rows and display only 50 records with pagewise.
In this case my application getting very slow.
Is there anyway to force GridView download data according to the pagesiz without passing limit in sql?

I have a DataGrid which is populated by a list of the .doc files in a folder.When one of the items in the list is clicked the browser should then download that file for the user to open. I'm using asp.net 1.1 to download data of a datagrid to excel file. I've used mso-number-format to display dates in short format 05/05/10 and numeric numbers with two decimal points. I want to set make text bold of some specific columns based on some business logic so that after download it boldness doesn't loose. So far I've tried with Css styling didn't get any result. I don't want to use .Net excel library: [URL] to do it.
