I want to know is this possible that we can set the RepeatColumns value at run time on Data Bound Event.
I am trying but it's showing default 4 only.

In my webform I have a datalist that displays images that are approximately 200px each. The datalist is set to RepeatColumns = 5, RepeatDirection = Horizontal (display 5 images per row). With the padding and spacing, each datalist row takes up about 1200px in width.
The problem is that if a user with a 1024x768 or 800x600 resolution visits the page, he'll see the horizontal scrollbars. It's not really a problem, but, well...
Is there any way I can call a javascript function in page_load that will get the screen dimensions, and send that javascript result to my serverside so that I can change Datalist.RepeatColumns?
My javascript function would probably use screen.width and screen.height, but how do I send those values to my codebehind?

For example, if the client's screen.width is less than 1024, then Datalist.RepeatColumns equals 4. Else, set to 5.
i have a datalist in my aspx like this:

The problem is that i have a search page. Access Database holding the information. I have a Access Datasource on the page with a Datalist to show the data. I need to find a way on setting it up to says "Sorry no results found" when the is no results. i am unsure on how to do this though.

Am building a Form for out intranet that runs on ASP.NET and C#, it is to be a survey from a SQL database. I have the connections setup can pull informations/Questions from the database. I am having a problem with setting up radio buttons within a datalist, ive never done this and i know they require unque names.
It is to be 4 radio buttons per question where only one can be select, i know how to group just not via a datalist with unique names

I am trying to place a datalist inside datalist. I managed to place a datalist inside gridview but not datalist inside datalist.

i have a datalist . that is contains 7 columns in repeat layout .when i have more from 7 columns , datalist style is normal .but when i have smaller than 7 columns ! data list style is not normal,
because there are some empty columns without specific schema.
How i can make a datalist > when i have 1 columns in my datalist my first layout width be 100% ;

Don't tell me to use military time because the function is not "time on a clock"; it's how much time is allowed for a task (in this case the min/max hours & minutes that horses have to complete a 20 mile trail; e.g. 05:00, 05:27, etc). View 6 RepliesThis is the sqlDateTime overflow problem again. Background. As I'm sure you know dates must be between 1/1/1753 and 12/31/2999. If you have an empty date field, it throws and exception. So I created a function (below) that solve the problem when attempting to update or insert a record with a date field. Works great.

So I thought about using a time field. I have the field, have the validator in place and then attempted to test the page. It resulted in my least favorite error message "sqlDateTime overflow".
I can think of several workarounds like adding a date or a fixed date to the time field, or converting it to a string. Each of these is problematic.
IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO UPDATE/INSERT TIME FIELDS.

In punched time the first one should be IN and second OUT. A employee would have punched several time a day. Based on that I should take maximum punches and bring that of columns as IN and OUT in gridvew dynamically. How to achieve this?
