I have gridview and i am binding data from databse. The gridlines are set to none and AutoGenerateColumns="false" in my gridview purposely.I have tricky requirement that i need to highlight one column data as box[may be border width: 5px]. but as my gridline are set to none, how come i can highlight the one particular column as box.
View 1 RepliesI am creating a table in my code behind and I was wondering how I could show only the top border of each row?
View 5 RepliesBelow I have code that changes the color of the button with the onmouseover. How do I also include the border width with this?
Code:
btnHome.Attributes.Add("onmouseover", "this.style.backgroundColor='#C6C6C6'")
btnhome.Attributes.Add("onmouseout", "this.style.backgroundColor='#EFEFEF'")
In nested gridview, i am finding some problem, i want to show child Grid headers in Parent Gridview. Can anyone tell me that how it is possible? Its very urgent. Waiting for quick response.

I have created a custom gridview that show "Select All | Clear All" hyper links in header to select the checkboxes in the gridview. That means that I have added these two hyperlink controls to the gridview header and am not showing the actual column headers.
[Code]....
Now, I want to remove the border that is displayed on the header row. How can I remove it? I tried th.BorderStyle = BorderStyle.None; but it didn't work. I need gridlines in the data rows but the header row should not have any border.

I have a customized gridvew i.e. grvResult. There is a textbox and a InsertButton in the footer.
If there is a data populated into gridview it is showing GridView footer and inserting data but if there is no data in gridview then its footer also not visible.
I have tried in two ways to make footer visible but it is showing following error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I have a gridview that I only want to show if the page is a postback. I'm not a very good programmer. show me some VB code that will assist this. I think I want to use a page load event and IF NOT Postback then visible = false for my gridview but I don't know how to write it out...
View 4 RepliesI have a number of user controls. The inner most one has a gridview along with a button, but the gridview sits inside a panel. When the button is clicked, the panel is suppose to show the gridview, but it doesn't. I have even put a break point on the code behind on the button event, but it doesn't event hit the break point when I click the button again.
View 5 RepliesI have a gridview on a page with search boxes at the top.
The wildcard for these is % so in every serach box I set the default to be % so that when the page loads all records are shown and then they can be narrowed down by what you search for but when the page opens the gridview does not show all results.
Here is my code:
<%@ Page language="C#" masterpagefile="MainContent.master" title="Electrical Storage" EnableEventValidation="false" %>

I want to show just the first row or the datalist although datareader returns x number of rows. I need to use it for printing so is it possible to get x number of wors from the datareader and display just the first row hiding all other (it will make printingeasier)

I would like to display date format in the GridView as follows:
First column - Date: null / yyyy-MM-dd
Second column - Decimal:
if 0/null = 0.00
if 10 = 10.00
if 10.1 = 10.10
if 10.11 = 10.11
if 10.111 = 10.111 (no need to rounding)
How can I do that?
I have a problem. I'm using a gridview to show some values of a xml.
this is my gridview
[Code]....
The last templatefield i want it to work as a deletebutton... Onclick it will erase the row of the xml.
My problem starts because i dont know how to get the number of the row that contains the button that was clicked or the id that is passed by datakeyvalues on the click of that same button.
if imagebutton had the value property i could send the id by eval by i know it doesn't have that property.
ex: value="<%#Eval("ID")%>"
So what do you thinks it's the best option, maybe do a redirect and there make the onclientclientclick attribute and the code to delete the xml row or can i do that on the codebehind of the page where my gridview is...
I have a GridView bound to a datasource with an image column in a template field. I use a handler to get the images from the datasource and display them. The problem is the GridView will display the second image, but not the first.

I am using an ADO Entity Model for my ms-sql database.
My database has a Resellers table which has ResellerID (primary key, int) and Name columns along with other data.
I also have an Orders table which contains OrderID (primary key, int), OrderDate, ResellerID (foreign key to Resellers.ReselerID).
If I just do a query like:
[Code]....
I am able to reference order.Reseller.Name just fine with no problems.
However I have an EntityDataSource on my page as follows:
[Code]....
Notice the Include="Reseller" attribute in the datasource... I also have a GridView tied to that datasource as follows: I cut some of it off for breavity:
[Code]....
Now what I have listed above will run with no errors, but what I want to do is replace the column that displays "ResellerID" with the equivilant to order.Reseller.Name. In other words I want my grid to display the reseller's name rather than the numeric ID.
I have tried to change the DataField to "Reseller.Name" but that will generate the following error:
A field or property with the name 'Reseller.Name' was not found on the selected data source.
Is there anyway to do this without me writing a custom select statement in my code behind?
What I want to do is to replace number with a name. So if in the Month Column it receives five "1" it changes those 5 "1" to JANUARY.
Is it possible? This is because unfortunately I can only arrange my months by number and not by their name, this because of my queries and tables format, so, I thought maybe I can tell the gridview to change the month number to their relative month name.
I m Using DataList Controll for the time being. But i wana use DridView Controll that should display Data Horizontally. Is it Possible? if Yes then How?
