Should I use the SQL Server bit data type or a simple varchar where the user would enter "yes" or "no"? More importantly, how wold I go about checking these checkboxes in the listview based on the values stored in my sql server database?
I am using a nested listview to display a seperate grid for each group of data returned from my db query. To get this working, I have adapted a piece of code to group the data prior to it being bound:

This works as I want it to however some of the fields within the nested table need to be formatted as currency so I am trying to use Eval and {0:c} to do this however the moment I use Eval, the data items cannot be found
DataBinding: 'System.Data.DataRow' does not contain a property with the name '0'.
I'm trying to use a ListView to display product specs. I also want to display the group headings such as "Dimensions", "Input Ports", etc.
How do I display these group headers? My code below lists the specs but doesn't show me the header. If I put some static text however, that shows up. What am I doing wrong?
i have a data driven web application, in my database i have this datetime column,
and in my web application i have this gridview, but the only data that i need to display are the records with todays date until the past 6 days from today, so its like 7 days all in all.
I am using the GridViewHelper [URL]to display gridview with group and subtotals. This seems to only work on BoundField and I am wondering how to get this work with TemplateField.

I have a gridview that calls a stored procedure that allows the user to search a parts list. In the gridview, I added a textox for Quantity and a button to Add to Quote. The idea here is that the user searches for parts, enters a quantity for a selected part, part is added to quote and user searches again for more parts. Here's my gridview code:

Questions:
1. How do I display the gridview values including textbox Quantity in my listbox?
2. How do I ensure that parts remain in the listbox after another search is performed? If it's viewstate, can you provide an example of how to go about doing this?
3. The values in the listbox will ultimately be written to the database on an insert record when customer creates a quote. Is there a way to streamline this process so that the insert is started when gridview textbox quanity is entered? I'm thinking about using a wizard control with first step being a display of selected parts, culiminating in an insert statement.
I'm not sure how to search for what I'm seeking, so I'm hoping to be pointed in the right direction.
I have 4 gridviews that contain the same 3 rows of data. For each gridview, I need to create a seperate gridview that will do some calculated values on the parent gridview like A3-A1, to put it in spreadsheet terms.
And at the very bottom I will have a total gridview control that will sum up each row from the parent gridviews. And under that gridview a final gridview to perform the A3-A1 calculation.
I am designing a program that will let me enter the name of an item to swap and adds the swap to an array list when a button Add is pressed. Once the item is added to the array list a Sub Procedure should be called which displays the contents of the array list in a list box.
The system will also allow me to remove items from the array list using a Remove button
followed by updating array list.
I have done some part which puts item into the listbox1 which i named lstSwapList.I would need some assistance on the Sub Procedure to display the Value or Description on the other listbox2 which i have also named lstContent,if a value is selected from the listbox1.
I would also want to know how to update the Listbox content,However i hv added a sample of the way i guess it may be.
Any complete solution from anybody on the Sub Procedure and the Update Swap procedure will be greately appreciated.

1 - Find a solution to group data while generating the XML file to groups of 4 items

I can make all stuff on asp server :And C# allows me to use something like SelectCommand = IzmProc + "_GetDisplayData"; And then I will work (select special data) with DataTables on ASP.NET Server but it's better to make all on SQL ... But looking like it's just unrealizable on SQL >_<

I have a search option which a person can use a multi select listbox. I have it coded so it would loop through to see if its selected or not. I also have a stored procedure where the sql statement is coded for the select statement. For some reason, its not populating my gridview. Where am I doing wrong? I have a web page with a gridview & formview (master/detail relationship) combo. On page load the gridview shows all records from a SQL table. On my page I have a button that when clicked shows the formview in Insert mode to allow users to add a new record to the data. I have also added a column to my gridview that has a link. When a user clicks this link it hides the gridview and shows the formview in edit mode with the detail from the record selected from the gridview.
In my formview I am using a listbox control to allow users to select multiple values. The choices in the listbox are populated by a SQL data table. I have successfully written code to post the selected listbox values to my SQL data field during Insert. When the user selects a record to edit I have code in the databound event to select values in the listbox from the choices based on the value in the sql data field. This works as well. My problem is that I cannot figure out the correct code to update my SqL data when a user is editing the record and makes changes to the selected listbox value. I have included my design code for my listbox in my formview edittemplate and also my behind code that I have attempted.
