Aug 25, 2010I'm currently developing a system for booking of discussion room in a college. This system will allow the staff to help the students to make booking in advanced as well as for instant walk in usage.I've got a table to keep track of bookings, another for walk in and one for time slot.
For the time slot table, it includes start time slot and end time slot, which is 30 minutes interval for each.What i'm currently facing is that the system could not display the correct available time slot. I think it's the formula problem which I still can't get it solved.
Example:If the booking time is 8.30am - 9.00am, I have no problem showing the 1st slot as N/A.
But if the time is 8.45am - 9.15am, the system only update the 1st slot as N/A while the 2nd slot still remain as AVAILABLE which is wrong. Because since the time ends at 9.15, I would like the slot 9.00am - 9.30am to be N/A as well.

I have total 21 time slot count in my table. And the arrCC113Availability is an ArrayList keeping track of the availability of each slot for that particular room.Is there any other formula which can cater for all the conditions?

This holds data on Female and Male personal characteristics.On my aspx, I have a formview in edit mode which is binded to an object data source with a GetDataByUserId Select methodwhich retrieves data from the "Profiles" Table via a DAL.The "Profiles" table has some columns which relates to females only and some just males and some are generic to both.See example below
UserId - / of Type GUID
GenreId / of Type BOOL.
Hip Size (For females)
Dress Size ( For Females)
ChestSize (For Men )
TrouserSize (For Men)
Weight ( For both )
When the User logs in , they go to an update Page which has the Formview in Edit Item Mode and contains drop down Lists whichare binded to the Users Selected Value. The DDL are in turn bound to their related table such as HIP, Dress, Chest, Trouser etc.bjectiveIf a female user logs in I just want to show them the (Hip Size) DDL and DressSizeDDL in the Edit item template of the formview and not the ChestSize DDL or TrouserSize DDL.At present the GetProfileByUserId returns all colums from the tableMy question is how do I do this and just show DDL which are relevant to the Female or Male Only. In some cases the usermay not have selected an item in the previous form so they could also be NULL.Am i on the right path by writing a Select Query that checks to see if the User is Male or Female by checking the Genre column in Profiles first.Do I also need 2 panels, 1 to hide Female DDLS and the other to Hide MaleDDLs subject to logged in user genre.

Mar 29, 2011I have a text field that users enter information into a database (SQL Server). They are entering as little as a few sentances to multiple paragraphs. I can successfully display the data on my webpage, but the text field is not formatted very nicely. The output is all smashed together like one big paragraph. Ironically, when I also display the text as a tool tip it outputs as multiple paragraphs like it was entered. How can I format the output in the datalist to create a more readable text field? My datalist field is as follows:

Jun 14, 2010I'm trying to access and display certain data in my database using category ID's. I've added values to the links in a link list and I was to have the selected value as the one that determines the selection in the selection statement. For example, "SELECT [ID_key] AS ID_Key, [Title], [Source], [PublicationDate], [Url], [CatID] FROM [Newsarts] WHERE ([CatID] = Linklist1.SelectedValue)". I know Linklist1.SelectedValue doesn't work or it may work and I don't know how but I want to be able to use the value selected from the previous link. Is there a way?
Also, after all the data is displayed, I would like them to become links themselves. Basically, I want to choose a category, then choose an article in that category, and they hit the link to display the article's content.

Jan 10, 2011so I am new to ASP and I am confused here about how to obtain specific data from a specific cell.so, i have a gridview that i fill from a SQL source, this works fine. what i have been task to do is add an editable text box and a comments portion to the site. these controls are to be inside the gridview. my dilema is getting the primary key of the row i am inside of.
Example when i click in the text box i created and i change the text the "ontextchanged" event fires; however, i am having difficultly at that point getting the primary key from column [0] of that specific row. i need this so that i can update the database.here is some of my code

However, I've been asked to also provide the option of viewing and/or printing the data in a PDF, Excel or CSV file format.
Are there any .Net 2.0, built-in classes that allow for exporting and printing data in these formats in Visual Studio 2005?
A couple of years ago, I worked on a website that offered this functionality in Crystal Reports, but on this particular assignment, we aren't currently using Crystal - I'm not at work right now, and I can't remember if we're running the "Standard" or "Enterprise" edition of Visual Studio.
