Forms Data Controls :: Get Gridview Control Row Values?

I have a gridview with a dropdownlist (ddlGrade) in one column and a textbox (txtText) and checkbox(cbxCheck) in another. When the checkbox is checked I to fire an event that will use the data from other controls in that row. In the method can get the checkbox value using:
public void onCheckedChanged_CheckedInfo(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Checkbox cbxChecked = (Checkbox)sender;
}
how do I get the value of the other two controls that are in the same row (dropdownlist and the textbox) at the same time? But not the values from any other rows?

I have a gridview control, I have 3 BoundField columns(Question, Answer, row_id) and 1 TemplateField column(Translate) in which i have textbox. I have more than 50 records and i have enabled paging. I have a button control after gridview. On Clicking the button control i need to extract the text from all the textbox fields and from row_id column.

I have a number of controls on a form i.e date pickers text boxes and dropdownlists. Firstly i need to set up some validation rules on the search button click event so if one control is populated then another needs to be and others shouldn't be etc etc
Then based on the values i need to return a dataset to the gridview showing all the records where the criteria meets all the values. I just wondered the best way to do this... i.e should i use validators to test for the rules(they may be too complex though). Should I just create a string and pass it as filter to the full dataset or use a stored proc and pass the string as the where criteria? This would mean a dyanmic proc so I'm not sure if there are any benefits as it won't cache on the server .

I have a repeater that I have bound to a sql reader via my code behind page.
However I can't figure out how to populate the controls in my repeater in my code behind code.
At the moment I am having to specify the database field e.g productprice with the control in the .aspx page like this
<asp:Label ID="LabelUnitPrice" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("productprice") %>'></asp:Label>
I would rather specify fields in my code behind than embedding them in the .aspx page.
I also have a subtotal label control in my repeater that I would like to populate its text property by mutiplying two of the database values e.g productprice * unitprice shown in my repeater.
I need to do this in code behind, looping through the repeater. Any idea of how I can do this in C#?

i am using a gridview in my web page,i used to bind the database records to the gridview..my columns are name,empid,company name,pl leave,sl leave,total leave taken here total leave taken is not a database fields,in the page i want to fill the records once loaded pl leave and sl leave is added and display in the total leave taken column..it working properly when all pl ans sl columns fill with numbers,if some pl and sl leave having blank values.it showing an error like input sting was not in correct format..this is my code

I would like to ask a question on the visual basic codes to loop the gridview to retrieve the values and based on the values, it will be provided as parameters to update to the database table using stored procedure.
Firstly, I have a gridview named grvProduct. The page (ui) will be loaded with data from the database with the use of stored procedures. And only certain values can be edited through the use of template in gridview. So based on those edited values, I'm supposed to pass these values as parameters to the stored procedure which will then update a database table.
Let say, I have 3 records retrieved from the database and displayed in the gridview. And I would like to edit a values in the 3 records, how do I do batch update and pass those parameters to the stored procedure? I went to debug and step through the visual basic codes and realised there were too many arguments specified because I actually loop the gridview.

I believe it is the error in the looping of the gridview which results that I could not batch update the data/values.

I'd made a WebUserControl called Matrix, this UC inherits from the Gridview control. The Matrix User Control has 9 properties, which of 3 properties are the DataSources DataTables). The 3 DataSources are the RowSource, ColumnSource and DataSource. Together they form an gridview with labels (name of column) at the header of each column, a abel (name of row) at each first cell of a row and rest of the cells on each row are checkboxes. This forms a kind of Matrix, that's why I named it so.
I drag the Matrix User Control on a new .aspx page, for example Index.aspx. In the Page_Load event I set the 3 DataSources and DataBind the Matrix Control. Then the Matrix is build up correctly.The user can now edit the gridview by checking or unchecking the checkboxes. I also have a 'Save' button on the page which has an ID 'cmdSave' to save the changes.What I wanna do is: I want to have a Method within the User Control which gives me back a list of checkboxes which are checked. But when the OnClick event of the cmdSave button is fired, the data of the User Control is null/empty. And how do I get the changedHow can I fix this and build a method which gives me a list of checked checkboxes?If not everything is explained clearcly,

I have a problem that can't find a way to do it, I have a gridview with this columns:
ID | AreaName | CostCenter
with the "Enable Editing" option check and what I want to do is to get the values of areaname and costcenter and assign them to a label control so I can use the values for something else, for example:
ID AreaName CostCenter
1 Multiconector 1025
2 One Conector 2065
3 Plug & Play 1445
4 Splitter 1598
5 FNI 4298
and if I hit the edit button of the row with ID 4, assign the values to the labels lblAreaName = Splitter and lblCostCenter = 1598
Before I edit them, and so on with the rows I want to edit.

I am new to this forum as well as Visual Studio and asp.
I am connecting to an access db using Visual Studio Express 2010.
I have a dropdownlistbox that pulls names from a database. When I select a name Gridview1 gets populated. Now I want to populate Gridview2 with more data when I click 'Select' link in Gridview1 but it's not working.
I am passing name (string) and number (number) fields to the gridview2 based on the gridview1.selectedvalue property and am seeing:
Input string was not in a correct format.

I can't find how to set font-style for titles on x and titles on y axes in the chart control? This titles are values, that are bind to chart control from database.

I need to get values of all individual cells from the row of a grid view and assign eac one fo them to seperate variables. Should i just access the control values directly from the gridview (the controls are template fields) or is it best to run an sqlq select query for each value i want to retrieve.

And as you can see, I'm using TemplateFields instead of BoundFields. And I need to access the e.OldValues in my RowUpdating function, but they come up empty.

Im displaying a Gridview full of data but the column "Country" is displaying the CountryID and I want it to display the Country 'Name'", same with State/Prov and a Status column I have. I've looked around at BoundField Properties and such and can't seem to find where I can configure this. Is it straight within my DataSource? Here's my code:

I am trying to update a table using gridview. I have dynamically assigned an sqldatasource having update command to it. I am taking values from textbox in edititem template. but problem is textbox doesnt show the new value that i write in it to update the row.
It gives me the old values from the table.

I have a number of checkboxes embedded in a gridview. I would like to give users a dropdownlist based on when certain checkboxes have been selected.
I have tried to accomplish this by adding an onlick event to the checkboxes when they are loaded.

In my javascript i try to get the value that was selected. That worsk okay but when i item is de-selected i am confused about how to determine if there are no more selected rows that satisfy the condition i mentioned above.
