I am trying to bind upto 3 values to a HyperLink control in a DetailView control to create a query string but it does not seem to work.

The parameters UserName, FirstName and LastName are column names from the sqldatasource.
I am using a DetailsView control to allow for updating a user record. Is there a way to check if the values are actually updated/changed when the update link is clicked. I know there are users, who would click the update button rather than the "Canel" even if there are no changes to the record. So, how do I check if any value has been updated when the update link is clicked. The DetailsView uses a SqlDataSource to populate the DetailsView.

I am trying to store decimal values from detailview. But it doesn't work. It stores decimal values after rounding. Let's say if I enter length/width as 4.2000 then in sql it stores as 4.0I am using sql server 2008 and the field is defined as decimal(8,4).I tried diff combination but nothing is working.
I'm working on the admin tool and am using DetailsView to edit the records (.net 2.0). In the screenshot below, the left is the GridView, and the right is the DetailsView. When a user clicks "Select" in the GridView, I am trying to display the assigned Sectors stored in the database via a checkboxlist (activities can have multiple sectors). This way, the Admin user could just uncheck/check what sectors they want to change. Unfortunately, I can only get the first sector that's stored database to show up.
Is it possible for the Checkboxlist control to allow for more than one box to be checked at the same time? If so, do I need to create a custom funcion (via looping) in order to populate the checkboxlist accordingly? I've ran into 3 articles so far that imply that, but can't get the For Each to work for my situation:

I searched a lot of threads but still couldn't get my problem fixed. I have to update the "regform" table with two fields: session_ and session2. These two fields are inside the detailview edititem template which bounded to dropdown list drpsession1, drpsession2 separately. I wanted to pass the update parameters to the update sql UPDATE dbo.regform SET session_=@session_, session2=@session2 where id=@id
the @session_ is bounded to a drpsession1 and @session2 is bounded to drpsession2. I used
ControlID="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$DetailsView1$drpsession1" to access the dropdown list within the detailview, but still couldn't do the updates. What's wrong with my code? Do I have to use the code behind to specify the update parameters? and How to do it? TIA.

I have created a Gridview and as part of the GridView I have created an ItemTemplate which has a HyperLink field. I would like the user to possibly select a different hyperlink for each row in the Grid. I have tried using the FileUpload Control and getting the Posted.FileName property and setting this but to no avail.

However I can't figure out how to populate the controls in my repeater in my code behind code.
At the moment I am having to specify the database field e.g productprice with the control in the .aspx page like this

I would rather specify fields in my code behind than embedding them in the .aspx page.
I also have a subtotal label control in my repeater that I would like to populate its text property by mutiplying two of the database values e.g productprice * unitprice shown in my repeater.
I need to do this in code behind, looping through the repeater. Any idea of how I can do this in C#?

I have a DevExpress WebChart Control that binds to a DataTable. The chart control renders fine from the DataTable until I try to import data from a details view(i think the chart control renders before the detailsview?).
Here is three renderings.
Chart 1. just rendering from the datatable
Chart 2 The sqldatasource gets its para. from the values of two label controls to render the detailsview. The detailsview renders fine
Chart 3, the problem comes in when I try to extract the values from the DetailsView to populate the Chart, I loose the value. I am assuming the the datatable is built before the rendering of the detailsview? Lost at this point.

I have a form in which I have a dropdown list and a list box.
This dropdownlist is populated by a column in thetable . This drop down list may have values ranging from 1 to 5.
This values in the dropdownlist are to be made the caption headings of the list view control.
For insance if there are three values in the dropdown there should be three columns in the list box with the heading as the values of the dropdownlist.for 5 it should be 5.
Also there are two additional columns which would be constant.
I am trying to use a repeater control that will display a hyperlink control. For the text of that Hyperlink control I would like to concatenate to fields from my data source (lets say First Name and Last Name). How would I do this appropriately for the Hyperlink control within an ItemTemplate?
View 3 RepliesI also have a working application that popukates my datagrid with valid data rows from my DataBase. What I cant figure out is how to get each of the hyperlink lables to NAVIGATE to the correct and corresponding aspx page!
For example I have 5 rows in the datagrid and each row has its own hyperlink, each row contains contact and a short profile on 5 diffrent companies.
