I'm new to datagrid in asp.net and now i need to develop a page which will display images of user uploaded and like i need to show 15 thumnail images and i need to provide a voting functionality to that each particular images and there should be a pagnation to see the next set of images..

I am having a bit of frustration trying to display an image save in a folder after upload in a datagrid. The image path is being return but the image does not displays. When I check the image properties is empty. THis is what I've been trying.

Here is where the image is being save: imagePath = "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\soweb\page_images\image1.png" If I change the path in the database to: page_imagesimage1.png, the image is display in the datagrid.

I would like the selectedvalue of the dropdown to display additional data base on its selection in multiple text boxes.
I have tried using the DropDownList OnSelectedIndexChanged property, within a DataGrid EditiItemTemplate, but I cannot retrieve data from the selection. (AutoPostBack is "True"). I can however use a button onclick event to fire a "prre-defined" selection value.

the client side validation is working for the adding date and time, but there is no validation firing for the count and room fields, I think i have coded them all the same, see sample for time and room below, maybe somebody see's something i missed? the validation group fires when the add button is clicked. also if possible I would like to get validation messages to appear in a validationsummary control that I already have coded and that is working when using the edit/update the rows presented with existing data.

I'm trying to create a web page using Visual C#.NET 2010 on a 3.5 framework that allows users to select items through a series of dropboxes which are then saved to a temporary display grid. The problem I'm having is that I wish to allow users to save multiple combinations of selections which are saved to various rows of the display table.

The problem I'm having is whenever I try to edit the selected column all other columns are cleared. I need to have them remain while only the selected row is altered.

Nothing looks clickable when I'm viewing my datagrid populated with data, it just looks like a static table of information.I need two things to happen. 1, as they move their cursor over the rows, I need the row to highlight. 2, when they click a row, I need to fire an event so I can run an SQL query based on the row they clicked?2 questions.1. View 20 RepliesI have a table in my database with three fields: COURSE_ID, PERC, DATE.I need to display sets of rows based on the date, the number of rows in every set will be known at run time, the same as the number of sets, so I was thinking about adding two buttons (one to add a set and another to add rows in that set)
I know that working with GridViews will do, but do not know how exactly, maybe one gridview for the sets and a second gridview (inside the first one) for the rows inside the sets.
