i am facing a difficult task, how to insert image to report viewer in excel file as the image below?
i only have 2 days to finish this part. i am using microsoft visual studio 2005 the image is save in the server. how to display the image in excel file which i export it through the report viewer. the image max fize size is 5MB.

That's my C# code but i the "ReportViewer1.LocalReport.Render("PDF", null, out mimeType, out encoding, out filenameExtension, out streamids, out warnings);" came in error everytime i try to generate the report. Can you show me the way so i can view the pdf from the browser or save the pdf from the browser?
I have been trying everything (albiet I am a novice, but I am out of tricks) to get the Report Viewer to simply accept a couple paramters.What I have is a dropdown list, bound to an object datasource from my BLL (Areas)Then I have a report viewer. It is bound to an object datasource from my BLL (FDWelds)The second object datasource is bound to the control, dropdownlist.
In the Method FDWelds objectdatasource has a parameter @Area_AreaID, and the RDLC report has a parameter called @Area_AreaID. If I set the default in the RDLC, I can display a textbox in the report showing the default parameter, but a. It doesn't actually filter the report and b. No matter what I change in the drop down box, I can never change the parameter.I have looked online, and see lots of coding to make this work, but is there just not a simple way to bind these?If you can show me a link to where to code works with a .BLL I would be so grateful ...

View 6 RepliesI am using report server 2008 and i have a background image on the report which is made hidden based on condition. When ever image is hidden, report in the report viewer is fine. But if the image is visible, background image it self is taking the 1st page and the data that should be on the image is going to second page. This is repeatble only for Reprt server 2008 and not for 2005.

I am trying to print a report containing the single record using print option available in Report Viewer control. But print is coming in more than one page.
How can we shrink the report to a single page?
I have a problem when I try to pass in paramaters for a report in my report viewer. I have set up the ObjectDataSource and set the paramaters for 3 text boxes that are on the page. The only way I have found to set the paramaters for the report is the user must fill in the paramaters and hit the refresh button on the Report Viewer toolbar ,but I would like to have the user click a asp.net button insted. Is there anyway to call the refresh method from codebehind?

I have an ASP.Net (.Net 2.0) application that creates Crystal Reports (version 11.5) and shows them with CrystalReportViewer control. For some reason the control isn't showing the logo image in the header of the report. It renders the following html

I have some reports that I was using in SQL reporting services. Extensions are .rdl and want to get them to work with VS 2008.
I copied the rdl files and the .rdl.data files over to VS 2008 (SP1) project but when I go to select the report in the control it does not see the file (I assume it is looking for a .rdlc file)
I tried rename the file to .rdlc and loaded the file up and got

I have already created a report in SSRS 2008. I'm using the Report Viewer to view it. I have one Report Parameter which is a list of usernames. I'd like to programatically select a particular value from that list.
So for instance, user: sdsmith goes to the page. The webpage will grab that username, check it against the list in ReportParameter1, then set the value of ReportParameter1 to sdsmith if it's found in the list.
I'm using Crystal reports 2011 and visual studio and 2008 and I'm having a problem displaying my report in the Crystal Report viewer. I'm using themes and my data is not aligning like expected. I have a lot of numerical data on the report and I have the numbers right aligned.
I finally figured out that if I don't use themes then the report shows the data as it should - right aligned, but when I apply the theme the data gets left aligned.Am I correct in assuming that if you are using themes then your data won't align correctly with the crystal report viewer? how to get my data aligned correctly when using themes?
