i am making one application..in that i want to use dynamic pager or custom pager.i have two dropdown list one for Data per page and second to change the Page..how to achieve paging using this two dropdown list.

have situation here. On checking checked checkbox inside template field on grid view. This my codethis code suppose to be update into mysql when checkbox of each row being checked. i have a dropdown enabled grid view i am using dropdown for page size with values 25, 50 and 100 but currently in database i have only 22 rows(which will increase in future) and page size of grid view is 25 so the pager row is not visible is there any thing to make it visible or it is the property of gridview to not show pager row when page items present is less than page size

My probrolem is to databind it. I want the pager to show all the letters at all time, but only make them to links if a word in the database starts with that letter. (Ex. got Apple and cucumber and mydatabase, only "A" and "C" become links and the rest letters fades in or some thing) I need the the code to be in a methid of its own. just dont know where to start.

i have a grid view with some coulmns like Name,Phone no etc with Edit,Delete column in grid view. I click a row in grid view to Edit,it goes another page where i can edit all fields .Once i update i redirect the page to gridview. I am doing a online web application whereby user is able to enter in new template as well as search for template. The Add template is located outside the grid view and if user clicks on the button, it will load the grid view that is populated with data as there is a row of empty fields at the bottom. However when I click on the Add Template button, the grid view does not appear.

When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid . After updating the displayed row , i got to get the values of the next row in the grid and display them for next updation , i'e if users maually selects row 3 from grid then he can update the values using the update button and then on update click itself i'll have to display next row contents of row 4 and this process could go on .
