I need to make a dataset and put into a grid or repeater with the records that have <show>1</show>. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
im tryin to create repeater from code behaind using C#. The data bind is working good, im tryin to put some pager. the pager is half working. i can see the pager links at the bottom, i can see the the code split the records to 10 lines each page as i set it but when i click the next link the records stay the same it wont changing for the next 10 records. my code

Then when the button click event is trigger i need to get all the records from GridView. But when i debug and check i found that the GridView.DataSource is become nothing. how should i get all records from the GridView and assign to dataset. I'm using VB.net to work on.

When I databind it to a gridview it shows all 4 records.
When I run the SQL Query through SQL Server Query Manager it shows 4 correctly.

I like asp:FormView because it gives me a flexibility to display a single record with an image, link and Paging on the bottom. And its very easy to databind to sql db table. But my question: is there any way to make FormView to change RECORDS automatically lets say every 5 sec. - Slideshow style?
View 6 RepliesI am building a retail shopping website and want multiple db records per row - e.g. 2 records per row side by side. Each record will have an image, a couple of labels from the database to state Item title / name, description etc and I need to add a textbox for the quantity. In clothing section a radio button for size and another textbox for item colour. I will then add a button (any button) to gather the info (recordID and textbox input) and take me to the shopping cart.
Problem: In ListView I get the multiple records but can't get the data from the textboxes: In Gridview I can get the textbox data but can't get multipe records per row.Which grid should I use to get both of these features working?

I got this problem that I'm trying to repeat an imagebutton inside a repeater so I can add an command argument to it...
But the image butten fails and I can at the most get it to write "Subit Querry" att the fields where I'm trying to get the images to appear. I havent that much usefull code for this after trashing the most in frustrations. but this is what I got.

So what I'm trying to do is put a Imagebutton around my <%#Eval ("img_name") %> so I can get the src from my DB.
after i select data from datatabe and store to datatable finally bind to the repeater to display. but grid is always display what the datatable store there is many duplicate data appear in the repeater. i would like to show specifc col once and hidden other name which appears more than 1.
for example in repeater:

then A appear more than 1. i would like to hidden A except the first record as belows:

I have EmpId and EmpName in the gridview but I want to make the EmpName field in hyperlink so that when I click a name, I can redirect at a page based on the data of that field.
