I have a web page which has both asp.net controls as well as AJAX controls.I am facing a weird issue when I introduce some AJAX controls(Modal popup) inside a tabbed panel, the button onClick event stops firing.
I am using the following code to load user control on to ASPX Page, which under a Master Page:

The user control name is passed as a parameter on the URL.
Inside the user, there is a LinkButton. The link button has a simple server side code for OnClick event.
Everything is working fine on the production machine, but, on the Development machine, I can see incorrect behaviour. I have started making some development changes on the Development Machine since several months back, and it will be very difficult to find out what caused the problem.
When I click the LinkButton inside the user control, the user control is removed from the parent page, and the OnClick event of the LinkButton is not firing.
I did debug, and found out that after I click on the LinkButton inside the user control, then the Page Load events for the master page and the ASPX page are working fine, and the IsPostBack is set to true, but the OnClick event of the LinkButton is not firing.

I have the following code and no matter what I do onclick event for button is not firing. I tried deleting the button, the pages. Redid the code. Moved the web project to a different computer and nothing. It worked a few hours ago.

I decided to change what JS functions Im calling now since calling Multiple functions definately wasnt helping. Here's my updated code. All Im doing now is validating a single textbox and returning true or false. Even this simple function is causing the postback URL to never get called. Could it have anything to do with the fact that Im trying to call a function to return a true or false?
I have two problems with a databound AJAX Accordion. The Accordion looks like this:

The code behind has this subroutine:

The first problem I'm having is that this subroutine is not fired (I have a breakpoint in it) when the LinkButton inside the accordion is clicked. The Page_Load event fires and there is no error message, javascript errors, etc, but nothing else happens.
The second problem is that I'm not sure how to go backwards with the databind. I want to be able to make use of the UpdateMethod in the ObjectDataSource because I also have textboxes inside the accordion. I will have a Save subroutine that can be called but I'm not sure what code to put inside it.
I came across a very strange occurrence with ASP.NET onclick event in IE (other browsers doesn't seem to have this problem). When there is only one textbox field in a form, the onclick event doesn't fire when you enter text and hit Enter/Return. The event does fire when you click on the actual submit button. When there are two or more fields in the form, hitting Enter/Return works just fine.
Very new to ASP.NET (using C# behind) and am having trouble figuring out the following scenario. I have a DataList that is populated (code below) and wanted each cell to be clickable. When the cell is clicked I wanted to know the unique ID for that cell. In my code behind, my OnClick method looks like this:

However I never get there. It seems as if the linkbutton always refers to some javascript callback function and just reloads my form. Am I using the wrong control for what I want to do? My problem is that by clicking on the image button in the gridview header, the OnCommand event is not being fired. I have tried this with both OnClick and OnCommand and neither fires. I can't see what I am doing wrong if anything.
I am facing one strange problem,I have a gridview in which the last two columns have checkboxes and on those checkboxes click event I am doing some database operations.I also have one checkbox that is outside the gridview which actually shows or hides some of the gidview columns.This was all working well but now I have shifted that grid to a user control because I have to use it in two pages.The problem now is,When the page first loads and I click the check box or any control in the page that is outside the grid then it works perfectly.But once I click any of the check box within grid view column then its behavior chages, now even if I click the checkbox that is outside the grid then also the checkbox_CheckedChanged event of the checkbox that is whithin gridview is fired.That checkbox event then behaves something like a page_load event that is called for every page load and for every event with in the page after it is called once.
I have been trying to add and OnClick event to a Hyperlink. The problem is in both FindControl, they are not populating the hl and reportId variables. I have added the following to the RowDataBound method.

When clicked the client side addUsage OnClick event will pass the the variables to a Generic Handler as parameters.
How do I setup a default setting so that if I do not set an OnClick (i.e the asp.net OnClick attribute) explicitly for an asp:LinkButton tag, it will not render an onclick(html attribute for javascript) attribute client side? By default, asp.net adds an onclick='doPostBack....' for the LinkButton.
Case for use:
There is a LinkButton tag on the page. For this page, if the user has one friend, I only want to run client side code if the button is clicked and would not for any reason want to make a post back. If the user has more than one friend I would want a click to trigger a postback.
Using any asp.net Ajaxtoolkit
Dynamically switching the control type (i.e. if friends == 1 use a asp:Hyperlink)
-I want to avoid this because it is not scalable. There might be many cases where I want an asp:Link tag to do a postback or to not do a postback depending on the user context or user attributes Using OnClientClick (I am using jQuery would like to avoid this)
For an image gallery page I am trying to bind data to an image control. Here is the control within the listview control:

Radopen is a function from [URL] and works fine. I can also display thumbnail images fine too. However, when I click on a thumbnail I get no popup, nothing. When I replace [Code].... with [Code].... It works too. For some reason I cant bind data though.
I have a checkbox inside a repeater like below..I'm having trouble figuring out how I need to tie the onclick event to a javascript function..I know I need to use somthing like
butSubmit.Attributes.Add("onClick", "return confirmSubmit();") but Since my checkbox is inside a repeater and I'm using master pages. I'm not sure how I need to use the findcontrol to so I can call the Add method?
I have a datalist control that is querying a accessdatasource for information that populates the results based on w/e is typed in a textbox. I can't figure out how to pass the information that is populated in the datalist to another page when a button is clicked (inside the datalist item template).
I was able to peform this in Detailsview with a hyperlink using the following arguments:

So, as it may look i want to call MyFunction defined by me with the Id parameter of current object that repeater displays. This is obviously not working.
I've created a databound gridview inside the gridview's RowDataBound I use the RowSpan property to merge cells. The grid ends up looking like this for example....

The button is generated using a Template Field and is a standard ASP:Button. If I click a button in an unmerged row everything works as expected. If I click a button in a merged row...the sender object on the command comes back as null and no matter what I try I can't seem to fix it or get a reference to the button.
