I'm work'n in a ERP now and i'm suppose to assign duties to for the employees who will be working in three shifts.,wot i have planned is to have 2 Panels named A and B.,
1) Panel A with 3 div's named shift1,shift2 & shift3
2) Panel B comprising all the employees with their Employee's ID in a label
EVERYONE WOULD've WORKED WITH THE NEW YAHOO MAIL WHERE WE WILL DRAG OUR MAILS INTO OUR OWN FOLDERS
IS THIS POSSIBLE WITH ASP.NET 2.0 & C# IN WEB APPLICATION....???
Does'nt matter even if it is with JQUERY & AJAX !

I have a "Contact Us" page where in users will give in their email id and a query and on submitting the form, web admin would receive that email.
If I configure their email id to "from" MailAddress and send the mail, it will fail to do so if the ID is from popular mail domains like gmail or hotmail but would work with other unpopular or non existent domains like me@abcxyzmail.om without any credentials provided!
It worked with gmail after I configured SMTP and network credentials properly. The aim is to let the admin of my website who receives the email be able to hit the reply button in his mail client and see the "to" field populated with the "from" field filled in "contact us" page. Is there any proper way to do this or a tip or trick to accomplish it.

I am using Visual Studio 2008 SP1. I face a problem while using Ajax control toolkit. In the Toolkit the Drag Extender is present that can be added to the different component. But is it possible to have specific divisions or panels that can receive my dragged Panel. As in , many sites have the functionality of rearranging the elements in the page itself and all the panels to be rearranged have specific divisions where you can drop the panel. Can we enable Selective Drop in ASP.NET ajax using Ajax Control Toolkit??

I want to get all contact list of email from Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail in the ASP.NET and C#.
Instead of enter username and password on my page (and call the API for authentication), I am thinking to redirect to Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail respectively for authentication (is it something called oAuth?) and authorization (consent) ?
It should redirect back to my page with all the contact list.

i've built a WPF application with two listBoxes.I managed to drag and drop elements from one listbox to the other, but it always gets added to the end/buttom of the second listbox.How can i drag and drop the element and place it in the other listbox, but where i want it to be, where the cursor is located/ponits and not in the end (as the last element).

In WPF I have a textBox . I need to drag and drop textfiles ie in notepad from desk top to textbox of wpf. I managed to get the contents of notepad to textbox. But I need file path to be in browser so that I can transfer files from client to client.
I need the file path instead.

I cannot get the Drag and Drop functionality of Web Parts is to work. I have a very simple test page with two WebPartZones.. In the OnInit method of the code behind I put the page in design mode. In the first zone I have a textbox.At runtime the text box renders as a web part. When I hover over the web part header my mouse pointer changes the 'move' pointer, but I cannot drag the item. I do not see it dragging and the part never moved. I am using Visual Studio 2010 with IE 8. I have tried IE8 in compatibility mode and regular mode. The results are the same. Here is the markup from my test page:

For our next project (a small app in ASP.NET/C#) we have to create drag and drop zones in the UI so that components/widgets can be dragged and dropped and layouts can be changed dynamically (for example, the user should be able to switch between two-column to a three-column layout from the front end). After doing some searching, I got to know that there are two approaches: Use Web parts and Content-zones. Using jQuery.
I also learnt that jQuery approach is preffered, but I would like to know how can I create such zones in my application and also save these zones per user (in the D so that when the new request comes for that user their preferred layout is displayed? I basically want to know if there are some tutorials on creating persistable drag and drop zones using jQuery.

I have two reorder lists on my page and what I am trying to do is allow my users to drag from one list to another list.
Basically its a priority list so list one is high and list two is low and the user can move them between the two.
Now they will work independantly but I can't change them from one list to another.

I had populated data in TreeView control. How will I drag a particular child node from a parent node and drop the dragged one to a DIV or any portion, using JQUERY ? I know in jquery, there are methods "draggable" and "droppable" to make this possible. But I want to drag a particular child node and drop it.

I want to create a web page with a table on top and a scrollable panel. Similar layout to yahoo mail inbox page (list of inbox messages on top and the panel displaying details). Further more, the table displays general information list and the panel displays a list of detail records. when a user clicks a table row, the panel is going to jump to the specific detail row, similar to html anchors. I came across this example [URL] I want to create a form that will be validated when Submitted. In the above example you can keep on dragging colored boxed on the Drop It Here area. When a form is submitted, I want to validate Drop It Here area to see if it is empty or user drop a colored box here. Is this possible to do and if so, how to do it.
