Jun 1, 2010
there is one linkbtn , on click i have to display word document content inside any textBox which supports, i used simple textbox but am facing the formatting problem. and also it does not show image. there is for problem in display word document content inside any textBox .
In my project I am displaying word file in textbox. While users reading their data in textbox(uploaded as word)some unformatted fonts that is table in word coming like some type of fonts how to overcome this.
I am pasting my resume in CKEditor. My resume have some images, Horizontal line, Bullets. When I paste it in CKEditor is not displaying these contents there. Is it any other way to do it? I want to show my resume format as it is as I have on the browser.
I'm creating a RDLC report in C#. Is it possible to insert the content of a Word 2003 document (with formatting) in it (either in design time or programmatically) before exporting to PDF. The final result will be a PDF file containing the initial report (fields from database) and the Word document content following it.
Why this? I need to give the user the possibility to fill a form, attach a word document and export the all to PDF as I described earlier (ASP.NET). I don't have Word installed on the server so I can't Interact with its COM objects.
But, it is showing the following error:SubStatusCode 'Response.SubStatusCode' threw an exception of type 'System.PlatformNotSupportedException' base {"This operation requires IIS integrated pipeline mode."} System.NotSupportedException {System.PlatformNotSupportedException} Headers 'Response.Headers' threw an exception of type 'System.PlatformNotSupportedException'
My IIS version is 6.0 where I published. Donwloading word document can be done only in IIS 7. So, this is the cause of the error. Is there any other way to overcome this problem? Any other code will support lower version??
I have never used ASP before!I have a server which has a shared folder where all quotes for our small business are saved.I have setup a HTTPs website with authentication, which then allows you to browse the folder contents as HTML. If you WORD installed on your machine you can download and open. No need to be able to save or anything - it is for viewing only.
The trouble I have is that every now again you are on a site where you cannot open the document as there is no software to do so. I would like to be able to display the WORD doc in a web browser.I have googled and it seems it is possible, but I am struggling with a result. All I want to do is view the WORD document in an HTML page. It could even be just the text less the formatting and header/footer if this was easier to achieve.Running MS Server 2003 SBS, and currently still using MS Office 2000!
I'd like my users to upload MS Word documents -- instead of typing the information in a TextBox. Even though I use tinyMCE -- like in this site, most users still seem to prefer the highly sophisticated Word environment.
My goal is to allow them to upload their Word documents which I then convert to HTML and place it in a tinyMCE enabled TextBox control. Has anyone implemented this? If so,
I have a client who needs to paste sections of Word documents into my SQL Server 2005 database. There are paragraphs and bullet points within the text that has to all go into the same field. When I copy and paste the text straight from Word the bullet points are displayed as dots but not as a list, i.e. the text is wrapped continuously and the formatting is lost. I have built a web front end in ASP.NET 2.0 using formviews for data display, editing and entering. If I use a Access backend the text will display correctly if the bullets are replaced with <li> tags - a bit tedious for the user of course. In SQL server I am getting a security warning that stops any HTML code to be pasted into a field. I thought of using stylesheets but even this is difficult.
Actually i want code of when user upload his document, its automatically generate all the content of document to display in the web page.. and all the code belongs to c#,javascript, jquery
I have requirement where I need to allow users to upload a Word document with place holders for certain fields which can be found in the database. This will be their template. For example the place holders might be prepended with @@ or something. For example
Dear @@Title @@Lastname
They then can grab a record and hit export to Word document. This will then let them choose the template. They can select the template and then click continue. I will then get the template and replace the @@Title with the title field in the database for the selected record. I am not sure where to start or what components I need to do this.
From my initial investigation it seems that I can do this with the new open XML standard for Office 2007. So perhaps I should read in the template and save all the contents to a db table somewhere. Then when the use wants to export I get the contents again and then do a search and replace for the @@ placeholders and link them properly. Then save the document to the output stream again which will then bring up the save dialog on their browser.
I am using ASP.Net MVC and am in a hosted environment. I was also maybe contemplating dynamically creating a new View type and dynamically creating new views when the user uploads a template. Not sure that this approach will work though.
I have a word document which opens in a web browser using ASP.NET 2.0 this is the code:
[Code]....
THIS WORKS, PROMPTING THE USER WITH "OPEN" "SAVE" "CANCEL" OR SOME USERS WITH "SAVE" "CANCEL" DEPENDING ON USER INTERNET SECURITY SETTING. BUT FOR SECURITY ISSUES, MY BOSS WANT THIS WORD DOCUMENT TO BE OPENED IN WORD PROGRAM. (MICROSOFT WORD 93,97 ETC) IS THIS POSSIBLE....? OFCOURSE SAVING THE FILE IS OKAY, JUST OPENING THE DOCUMENT SHOULD BE NOT BROWSER.
I would like to know about commands of : How can I set an index to a single word on my word-document, by some asp commands.(Word-basic ...)Also, how to merge two files to a single word file (rtf).
I have a link that is located inside a content control. This link calls a javascript function that opens a popup window containing a calendar and passes it the transformed id from the server of a textbox control using clientid. I need to be able to click on a date and have the popup close and insert the date into the textbox of the id I passed into the function which again, is located inside the content control.
