May 16, 2010I'm trying to create an ASP.NET MVC master page so the site navigation on it will look like this:
Main Menu:Home | About | News
Sub Menu: Home_Page1 | Home_Page2
The Sub Menu section should always show sub-menu for the currently selected Main Menu page (on the example above 'Home' page is selected) unless a user hovers the mouse on another Main Menu item (then it shows that item's sub-menu instead).

Feb 21, 2010I want to include view content page in my master page: My MVC application Left Menu MainPage. The Left Menu and Main page are two contentHolders in the master page. How can I add the Left Menu (View content page) to my Master page?. The Left Menu page is going to be a permanent page. The Content in the main Page is going to change. Left Menu content needs to be the permanent content for all other pages.
I searched in the internet, but I didn't find any solution that solves my problem. Basically I need some permanent menu items in the left page. But, I should not write the code in my master page. I need to add that Menucontent as my contentPage to the master. I have tried that by adding a New content page called "LeftPage.aspx" in View/Home folder.I have referred this page to the master "Left content holder". As the ASP.Net MVC talk to the controller, the left menu is not getting displayed while page loading.If i specify the ControlAction for this left page and specify the URL as //Home/Left ;then the page is getting displayed with only the left page content.

I have seen several threads, but could not help me. don't recommend CSS Control toolkit. Aug 19, 2010I've buit a menu functionallity in my MVC app where you can add/remove and modify navigation items:
this is what it looks like in the database (the key thing to notice here is URL field where i'm storing all Area/Controller/Action/Param values.
Now, on the front end I would like to built <UL><LI> menu from the db.
How would I know what page I'm on so that I can add class "current" to <li>. If for example I'm in "http://localhost/Admin/Admins/Dashboard" how would i know it applies to /Admin/Dashboard AND /Admin/Dashboard/Index?
-another thing. how would i handle params. For example when I'm on page /Admins/ContactUs/Edit/32 - how would i match this to /Admin/ContactUs/Edit/ ?

Feb 22, 2010but I've tried everything I could think of and am at the end of my rope. I've got a page (faithfamilychurch.com/v2aspx/Default.aspx) that I am trying to get the flyout menu and flyout quicklinks at the top to come out over the contentPage content. I've set the z-index of each to much higher values than the content page, but still nothing. I've tried the tactic of changing the contentPage z-index to -1, but there is some master page content that needs to appear behind the contentPlaceHolder. Code below.

Feb 16, 2010I've been reading through the fb developer api documentation and I'm trying to find out what would be the easiest way to post information on a website to the website's own facebook page. for instance - the assumed workflow is like this:
an admin user adds new content to the company website - and once submitted that content should automatically appear as a link on the company's facebook page.
Do I use the API, facebook Connect, a facebook Share button etc. Looking for some recommendations based on my assumed workflow. Project will be coded in c# (although I'm really looking for recommendations of which tool to use from someone's experiences with the api)
Master Page Menu Showing Up Behind Content
Nov 18, 2012SO I download jqcalendar to include in my application as a starting point for a calendar (it is basically like Google calendar using JQuery/ASP.NET). I notice however when I click on a menu item on the master page, it shows up behind the content on the content page, as you can see here looking at the Maintenance menu:
I figure it has something to do with how the JQuery is rendering the page, but honestly not sure how to fix it. Here is the Jquery and HTML for the page:
