How To Make An Icon Repeating N Times Where N Is A Variable
Aug 2, 2010
I would like to show number of successful orders made by each customer. Number of orders will be represented by number of smiley faces. Upon clicking on the smiley face, it will link to other web page showing full order histories made by this customer. Basically all smiley faces will link to the same page. How this can be done in ASP.NET? What control should I use?
Using this code, I can get a very cheesy red lettered message.
<form id="frmValidator" action="required.aspx" method="post" runat="server"> Enter Your Name: <asp:TextBox id="txtName" runat="server" /> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator id="valTxtName" ControlToValidate="txtName" ErrorMessage="enter your name!" runat="server" /> <br /> <asp:button id="btnSubmit" text="Submit" runat="server" /> </form>
Is there some way for me to have a green icon (I have that image so I imagine I just have to reference it) sort of fade into existence beside the control?
I'm writing a small discussion forum.I modeled on YAF - there is something like Mession, which depends on Session.Everything seems work until delete the session cookie - the data reset and all the posts/topics icons are displaying as new.I think, that there may be a better way to store lastvisits in session.I'm very interesting about the mechanism which is on this forum.
I have a button that uses a ui framework icon on a content page as shown below. I would like it to change state if hover so that the user will know it's clickable. I see there is a.ui-state-hoverclass. How do I apply this to the button?
I'm a newbie here. I have created a custom control that requests a set of data from a user. However, I want to be able to have a variable number (dictated by the user) of these data sets entered on each page. How can I create and refer to a variable number of instances of a user control on a single page? It's hard to explain in words, but I'm basically looking for some way to do what amounts to the following:
[code].....
Is there a straightforward way of doing this? I haven't been able to find a clear answer via Google, which brought me to this group.
I would like to wrap Session variables in a manner similar to that discussed on CodeProject.
[code]....
Here is my question: if I have to access CurrentUser multiple times in the same page, would I get a performance improvement by assigning it to a local variable instead of accessing the wrapping property? Or does the HttpSessionState make sure the object is only deserialized once per request, so that subsequent calls in the same http request don't cost any more?
i am develpping a alarm application when user minimized this it should be minimized appear near the system clock, local area connection icon(as hidden icon).
i assigning an imagebutton to an image url in css causes my image to still show, but also the icon for an image if there isn't an image. If I declare it in the html instead, it shows fine, only when I try to use CSS for the referene to the image url.I use the following syntax for the image in css
background-image: url(image1.jpg);
Again, it is finding and showing the image, but it is also showing the windows image icon.
I have a data grid in which I have to display around 12,000 records. Even if I do paging it is difficult to display all the records. Is there any other control or something else so that I can display all these records. Even if I make these as alphabetical also, some times I have to load 1000 records in a page which is difficult.
I think I summed up the question in the title. Here is some further elaboration...I have a web user control that is used in multiple places, sometimes more than once on a given page. The web user control has a specific set of JavaScript functions (mostly jQuery code) that are containted within *.js files and automatically inserted into page headers. However, when I want to use the control more than once on a page, the *.js files are included 'n' number of times and, rightly so, the browser gets confused as to which control it's meant to be executing which function on.What do I need to do in order to resolve this problem? I've been staring at this all day and I'm at a loss.
I have an accordian inside a nested gridview that is controlled by an imagebutton. The Imagebutton is a plus sign "+" and the expand/collapse functionality is working great.
What I need to do is when the user expands the accordian is to change the plus ("+") sign to a minus ("-") image. I am trying to do this with javascript but its not working.
I have the following list of projects WebUI (WebSite) , DataAccess (ClassLibrary) , LogicLayer(ClassLibrary). Those of the project are purposively crated separately. But my scenario is, need to create only one solution file, then add all of the above projects under this solution file. So that i can be easiy interacted and changes can be made by opening solution file only instead of opening each project individually.
Simply all of the layer projects are under one roof means one solution. I tried it by adding solution first, then i added already existed project into this. But once after added already existing project the solution icon vanished by showing the icon of recently added project. By this way I could not add another project into this section too.Hope this is the way the basic real-time projects are created; to achieve the centralized control over architecture based projects.
I have declared a variable as public (Visual Basic 2008). As a result I can call its value in all subroutines. However I cannot change its value in any of the subroutines?! How to do that? The variable I'm having trouble with (see code below) is called 'antwoordbestand' and I want to change its value in subroutine startKnop_Click.
Not sure if this was the forum to post under but here goes. I want to make a global variable counter that I can adjust in my code in the webforms. For example, I want to use the counter like so...
[Code]....
If anyone knows how to create this dynamic global variable or if anyone can tell me if its not possible,If it is not possible,
I need to count number of repeating and position where they repeat of all number in multidimensional array like this:nd result need to be:Number 1- two times on position 1, one time on position 2, two times on position 3Number 2- one time on position 1, two times on position 2, one times on position 3Number 3- 0 on position 1, one time on position 2, 0 on position 3
I am building a ASP Menu Control with back ground images using CSS. Problem: Images repeat even though, I have image specified only on td. I have seen several threads, but could not help me. don't recommend CSS Control toolkit. I have tried many different variations.. hard luck! let me know if I can tweak some CSS to control this behavior. Here is the code.
I have an SQL 2005 db with a table named "industry_suppliers."
I've created a query to enable someone to search this table using 3 parameters.
The results need to be grouped by "product_description" (which is essentially a category). When displayed on an .aspx page, for example, the results need to look like this:
Apples
Acme Apple Company Bradbury Orchards Oranges A1 Citrus Company Belfast Growers, Inc Bradbury Orchards
Notice how "Bradbury Orchards" is repeated under both categories. This is the result I want, EXCEPT in cases where someone wants to filter the search results by category. Let's say someone wants to search just for apple suppliers. The problem I'm having is that any record that appears under apples will also get listed again under any other categories associated with that record. So, searching for apple suppliers, the results are this:
Apples Acme Apple Company Bradbury Orchards Oranges Bradbury Orchards
I'm having trouble figuring out how to revise my query to avoid this problem.
I am trying to display a rdl file multiple times on a single reportviewer control in asp.net.Actually I have an rdl stub which displays monthly data and I want to repeat same rdl for each selected month. Suppose If I select month January to March then I want to display 3 reports for each month on same reportviewer asp.net control.I need this solution urgently.
I'm making a website that requires ads being repeated down the length of a page with dynamic length. I want the ads to be displayed down the entire length of the page, but I won't know that length until after the data has been displayed. Is there built in functionality for this in .NET? If not, does anyone see any workarounds I could employ to do this for me?
I am consuming a web service in .aspx with a added web reference that links to http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx After this, I can get the result from ebServiceX.StockQuote ws = new WebServiceX.StockQuote();String xmlString = s.GetQuote("XOM"); I am wondering how I can call the web service like GET, http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx/GetQuote?symbol=XOM+BAC
