Dec 14, 2010I want to get ip address of client machine Like I opened website on my machine which is hosted on any server So i need IP address of my machine not hosted server IP.

Jul 14, 2010I am trying to access a wcf service hosted on a server running on a virtual machine on a windows 2008 R2 hyperv. When i access this service when running my asp.net website through code everything works fine how ever when i deploy the application on the local IIS , in the deployed mode i am getting an securityaccessdeined exception. Jun 3, 2010so i have a code which gets me the ip address of a machine i am wroking on.
so if my gui is published on the server and i access it from my local machine it gives me tha address of my local machine and when i access the gui from the server itself it gives me the server address.. which is fine.
But when i put the gui on a VM server and run it from a VM server itself i dont get the ip address. this works fine if i access it from another machine but does not work only when accesing gui on VM server..

When I call Server.MapPath("~") in my application that is running in ASP.NET Development Server it returns root directory that ends in a back slash like f:projectsapp1, but I call it in published version, installed in IIS, it returns root directory without any back slash like c:inetpubwwwrootapp1.

Dec 15, 2010I have a web site where I need to capture the IP address of the logged in user. Earlier my code used to work fine. But all of a sudden it is giving me only one IP address from whichever machine may be the user logging in. I have tried almost all possibilites :
Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_ADDR")
Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR")
Request.UserHostAddress()
Still it is giving me the same IP address.

I have found some solution in which this can be done but it works on on IE and some ActiveX setting needs to be done.We want this should work on atleast IE and FireFox.

1. What could be the issue:
Server is not capable? I have checked the ping and it response time is 153 ms for each require on live ip but on local ip it gives < 1 ms response time.
2. I have not compile the solution just copy and paste on the iis and create virtual directory?

Sep 20, 2010I created a WSDL with Visual Studio 2005 and tested it using localhost. It worked exactly as anticipated and returned the expected results. I basically called the WSDL from a classic ASP page using Server.CreateObject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP.3.0") and all went well. The url was http://localhost/service.asmx/methodname.
I deployed the WSDL to the remote server and tried to access it the same way; I changed localhost with the domain name as http://domainname/service.asmx/methodname. But now I get 'Post to http://domainname/service.asmx/methodname failed with 500.

Am also try to open the swf file using html file from the same domain,it not working.
