When i click on any master page button, it load one UserControl inside ContentPlaceHolder. But inside one of this UserControls have a Button, that when i click on, it dont fire the click event.

I've a dropdown and a listview inside an updatepanel (Master/Child relationship) so based on value selected in dropdown the listview gets populated. The Listview allow user to perform Edit/Insert/delete of records. I have to implement a scenario when a user is editing/inserting a record and if he tries to navigate away/change the value in dropdown he should be prompted to save the data and if he choose yes in JS Confirm Dialogue then the currently edited/inserting record should be saved (for which i'm trying to mimic the click of the update/insert button using js). I've attached change eventhandler of dropdown using JQuery which is getting called properly bind. [Code]....
This code gets bind using Sys.Application.add_load(saveChanges); I also tried the following Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_initializeRequest(saveChanges);Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest(saveChanges). The eventhandler gets called correctly but the click() doesn't work! Also the reason I'm calling click() method of button is to perform the validations via RequireValidator/RangeValidators.
In my form I have a label and button control.By default the label is visible. When a user clicks on the button I have made the label to visible false. For simple button it is working, but when I add an updatePanel to button the event is getting fired but the label is not getting to visible false. this is happening and the solution for this.
I have one Button (Refresh Button), One ComboBox (containing DEV and UAT as its items) and a GridView on my asp page.
I am filling up my Grid with values from database on the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event and Buttons's 'Click' event.
First time when page is loaded, there is no information in the grid, but when i choose DEV/UAT from the ComboBox 'TextChanged' event is fired, the grid is filled with the relevant data. That is what i want.
When i click the Refresh Button to refresh the data again, first comboBox's 'TextChanged' event and then 'btn_Click' event is fired.
I want then when a button id pressed only 'Click' event to be fired and not the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event.
i am using jquery flexi gride in web page and it is working fine .But now the problem is ocured when i click button to call server side event.I am not able to find out. My button is as fallows and i am
My page contains a button [Button1].I've dynamically created a new button [Button2] in the Button1_Click event and and assigned event handler also. But when clicking on Button2, Button2_Click event is not fired.I think its because the page looses dynamically created Button2 after post back, since it is created in Button1_Click event. Is there any way to maintain Button2 on page and raise Button2_Click event ?
a problem with firing click event when asp:button control is click on IE8. Its properly postedback but when i click button in IE8, it does'nt do any thing. After review on mouseover on button the the following type link showing on button pagename.aspx?vid=18 on next click it incremented pagename.aspx?vid=18&vid=18 and so on. How can i fix button problem in IE8.
I have a user control that displays some database records when I first hit the page. When I click the submit button the page load event fires again, loading the user control again. Then the button click event fires inserting a new row in the database which is not shown on the page because the user control already did its stuff. If I could get the user control to do its stuff after the button click event I could then see the newly inserted row. I can do this by pulling the code out of the button click event and sticking it in the page load event. However, I think that would be bad code flow. How can I get the user control to do its stuff after the button click event has fired?
I'm having trouble managing how to call upon databind from clicking on a row over an already populated repeater that will populate data regarding the row clicked TO another repeater on the same page.
I've succeeded doing that with postback, calling a jquery click event of that row, taking the data of the specific row and passing it onto a "Querystring" and after postpack, it will be pushed into a Session which the ObjectDataSource of the secondary repeater will recognize and populate the data tables accordingly.
The problem is, I must do it without a postback or in other words purely on client side.
I have a ImageButton inside a gridview. The gridview is inside update panel. i want to redirect to another page with the Clicking of the ImageButton. But it is not working inside update panel. what should i do?

I have a master page containing a ScriptManager control, and a Content Page containing a ScriptManagerProxy Control. Further on the content page I have an UpdatePanel control containing a GridView control and a server side button control. I have registered the button control as a trigger with the UpdatePanel control asynchronously and have set the UpdateMode of the UpdatePanel to "Conditional". I also have a "JumpLoader" control which is outside the UpdatePanel control. I have the following event for Jumploader wired up through Javascript. I am pasting the relevant sections of the code below:
i have a usercontrol inside an updatepanel. when i click some button this usercontrol will be loaded. and the usercontrol itself has anither button in it. the problem is that the usercontrol code behind is never executed and when the button is clicked the usercontrol disappears.
In Visual Studio 2008 ,in my application page 'TEST.aspx' have an 'Ajax TabContainer' inside update panel , and Tab Panel "Product Group Identification" containes textboxes ,DropDownlist and button like 'Save' and 'Cancel' , on clcik of 'save' or 'cancel' buttons only dropdownList Disappears for a second and reappears this is due to Update panel.
I'm attempting to set the visibility my UpdatePanel to true upon a button click event (as shown below). It should be rather straightforward but unfortunately it's not working at all. Any idea why it's going wrong?
