The <select> tag don't accept html content in this <option>. So how can I write some HTML content in this <option> like <li>. Or Anyway create dropdownlist using <div>.
I don't know how to do it.
Hello all i have this little issue getting this to work, i have a dropdownlist in asp.net inside a formview and jquery cant find the control im guessing because its inside a form, this is what i got and it works on another page without a formviewi get this errorName 'Country' is not declared

I am using jQuery to do a cascading dropdown list (State, City). In order to pull the information from the database I have a web service that I reference. The code all works like a champ when I use the JavaScript on the ASPX page for proof of concept, but when I place the JavaScript in the userControl and then put the userControl on the ASPX page, it breaks.
The next foreseeable thing that will potentially complicate things further is that the userControl will be inside of an updatePanel
I'm pointing a jquery selector towards a dropdownlist inside an UpdatePanel. It interacts just fine with the $("#<%= DropDownList1.ClientID %>").change("Do something");
but, when the Dropdownlist postsbacks (it needs to do it, and that's why it's inside the updatepanel) my script suddently stops to work.

When the FormView is in Edit mode, ddlCategory is populated as expected by calling GetCategories(), which returns a List of categories. However, when the ListView is in Insert mode, ddlCountry is empty. I put a break point in GetCountries(), but it never gets called. If I change the name of the method, I get an error. So it recognizes the method at compile time, but does not call it at run time. I'm guessing this is an embedded binding issue of some kind, but I'm hoping someone can save me a lot of time by pointing out the solution.
I have a gridview inside UpdatePanel.
Inside gridview there is a dropdownlist and a button on each row. On button click I am opening a panel through Modal popup extneder.
Inside that pop up there is again a dropdownlist. I am adding an item into this dropdownlist based on the selection from the dropdown inside gridview.
like ddl.items.insert(0,'xyz');
But first time this inserted item is not getting reflected in the dropdownlist. But after one postback this item is getting reflected.

I am trying to add a TextBox or DropDownList to the nodes in a standard ASP.NET TreeView control so that I can take the user input when the node is selected and make use of the input text on postback in the code behind. The TreeView is configured to show CheckBoxes.If this is not possible, is there a way to render a text close to the node when it is selected for taking input? Or maybe have a Javascript prompt to take input when node is selected?

I have a listview that is showing its result by using a linq query. The linq query goes like this.

The category id is coming from a dropdownlist (CatParamID) *** Join: Besides the Varer (Product) table I also have another table, Sizes. This Sizes table contains 6 columns (ID_Sizes (int) primary key and the columns: OneSize, S, M, L, XL, XXL all are bit (true or false)). There is a relationship between Varer table and Sizes table. It says that I can only insert a value into the "fk_sizes_id - column" of varer table if that value already exists as primary key within the Sizes table. **** I'm starting by picking basic product values like productId, ProductName etc from the Varer (a) table ***** Then I'm picking the corresponding Sizes values (onesize, s, m, ...) from the Sizes table. View 3 RepliesI have 2 iframes in my page and 2 separate pages linked to each of these iframes. In one iframe page a tab control is placed with treeview on each tabs and the tree items are selectable (treeview with checkbox). On navigation of one tab from other an XML document stored in session is being updated with the selected treenode values.
The second iframe page is places on right side of the page which summarize the selected made on the each tabs. To do this, the page is getting loaded on tab navigation and in page load of that page, the treeview id created and displayed. We created the treeview as an object and kept in session variable then added into a panel. The only modified areas require to be updated instead of binding the entire tree on each tab's navigation.
1. The treeview must retain it's collapse/expand status on tab navigation which is not happening now.
2. When I set EnableClientScript property to true, I'm getting error on expand/collapse as Undefined 'somenodename' error. If I set the value as false, then postback is happening which should not.

Now, everything is working good so far - until I click on a node in the tree within my modal popup. It then exits the popup and I don't want it to. I am not good at JQuery (the JQuery above is not mine) and I tried to suppress the node click events with the commented out code above but all that did was suppress the entire popup from showing!
what I can do to suppress the node clicks from firing the JQuery close routine for the modal popup?
