I am developing an MVC application. As part of the functionality I am using jQuery to invoke a server side Action method. This method returns an array of strings. I would like to display the list of strings in a select list using jQuery. e.g. I would like to see the following html:
<select name="CompleteAddress" onchange="Run()" id="CompleteAddress">
<option>22, Random Address</option>
<option>24, Random Address</option>
<option>26, Random Address</option>
</select>
The values "22 Random Address" etc... come from the Action method.
Currently, I am invoking the action method as follows:

i have six items in my select in which 4 of them are add,edit ,delete view, it is multiselect list, i don't want the user to remove the these 4 items , apart from that they can remove any item. how will i do that? it is not happening in the above code
selecting a few items from a list of thousands. I have an autocomplete field that searches the db, and returns a name/id pair. This is working fine.
The next step is to preserve the selected IDs, and allow the user to remove some if needed. For this, I've been looking at using a select, and was hoping a UI something like that provided by this, but it doesn't work: it allows you to select items that already exist in the select, but doesn't work with a dynamically created select.
The final step is a traditional postback (using a submit button, this is in asp.net webforms) where I'll need to have access to the final list of IDs.

Basically, I have a textbox where a user can enter an ID from a database. To make things easier, the user can popup a GridView using a ModalPopupExtender to display all the tables columns, and they can Select a row, which then closes the modalpopupextender and sets the textbox to the row's ID column.

I have been trying for a while to populate a formview when I select an item from the dropdownlist. The dropdownlist is outside of the formview. For some reason, when I select a different item it does not change in the formview. Only the first item of the list shows up. I don't know where I'm doing wrong. I tried many things and suggested informatioin and I still could not get it to work. When I do try to switch I get this error message:

I have a list of Categories which I need to bind to a TreeView control in WPF and I can't find a working tutorial or get it working.My Category class consist of (ID, Title, ParentID). If the Category is a top level category the parentID is null.Can anyone sow me how to bind this to a treeview?
