JQuery :: Get Data From The First Form To Another?

Oct 19, 2010

I can not find solution how to get control of other forms.

In the first form Default.aspx I have TextBox1 control. How do I get data from TextBox1 into another form Default2.aspx?

Is there any example on the Internet?

I have tried in this direction, but not a solution:

$ (Function () {
$ ('# Btn'). Click (function () {
$. Ajax ({
url: "Default.aspx/TextBox1"
data: "{}",
success: function (html) {
$ ("# Results"). Html (html);
}
});
});
});

Data from TextBox1 I want to here "results" $ ("# results")

Silverlight Or Jquery Ajax For Complex Data Form?

Oct 7, 2010

So part of my web app centers around this very important form which is used to create a form. Its like google docs form. The user keys in a type (checkbox, textfield, numericfield) and a label and slaps it into the system, and it generates a form somewhere.

Its a little more complex than google forms, the field types are complex and theres a lot more to that form (It happens to be a form generator for a finance plan)

The app is asp.net, I was thinking of using jquery and jquery's own ajax methods to post the data, but I think it would just turn into a very hairy situation, I then thought silverlight, but Ive never done silverlight before but I am an experienced .net guy.

So what do you guys think, will silverlight be too tough for a first timer for this kinda thing? Or should I stick to jquery. Plus points for silverlight is its an inhouse lan app and this particular page will be used by people with very high bandwidth.

Also I'm on .net 4 btw.

Jquery - How To Find The Form Element

Mar 23, 2011

I used to have this one...

at the head part

[code]....

So what changes should i make to the jquery.openid.js to make it work?

I mean in the first case the $this refers to form.openid:eq(0) In the second case the $this refers to #text.openidd and the form is never submitted.

I guess something like this one $this.FindParentForm exists in JQUERY, but i have no clue!

I added the div tag as enclosure for the elements. The form contains other <li>'s etc that jquery messes with. And i would not like that! That's why in my post i believe that the work has to be done in the jquery.openid.js file... something like

$this.GETParentFORM.unbind('submit').submit(function() {
$id.val($this.GETParentFORM.find("li.highlight span").text());
});
$this.GETParentFORM.submit();

JQuery Modal Box Form Validation?

Apr 14, 2010

I was using a view to create an object for my specific project, but now I have to adapt this to another requirements, such as the creation of this object must be integrated in the creation of another one. The thing is, that this object must be created before starting to create the other one, and the way of doing it will be poping up a modal dialog box with JQuery with the form to create it. I've got to adapt the creation and it works fine, except for the validation messages. It is made in the controller like :

C# - Passing Parameters When Submitting A Form Via JQuery In MVC?

Oct 23, 2010

I'm trying to do a form submit to my controller through jQuery Ajax. The following code works for the most part, however, the ThreadId parameter does not get passed. If I call the controller directly without using jQuery, it gets passed, but when using jquery, I don't see the ThreadId after form.serialize(). WHat would be the easiest way to pass parameters (like ThreadId) to jQuery form post?

Does The Jquery Validation Plugin Require A Form Tag

Jan 21, 2010

I want to validate some asp.net textboxes with the jQuery Validation plugin found at[URL], but it appears that the elements must be between a form tag. If I have just a couple elements, I would hardly call that a form, so I would rather not have them wrapped inside a form element. Is there a way around this? Also, if I have two buttons on the form, a cancel and a submit button and I want the form only to validate when the submit button is clicked, but not the cancel button, how is this accomplished?

Add Distinctive Blocks Of Form Controls Using JQuery?

Feb 10, 2010

I am doing a small human resource web application in my workplace and i have a CV section were employees can add their CVs to be displayed to the human resource manager.

I want to make something similar to what Stackoverflow Careers has done in the Experience and Education sections where the users can click the "add more experience" or "add more education" links for new form elements to appear and a remove, move up and/or move down links appear.

I think that this was possible using jQuery and either the append or appendTo functions. That's as much as I know about jQuery and have no idea on how to go about implementing that.

The solution that i require should:

Enable me to add a template one for the Experience section and the other for Education On the loading of the page at least one education section and one Experience section appears on the form Form controls must have an identifying value added to them to distinct them from other sections. For instance, when the page first appears each form control should end with 0, when the add more button is clicked, each form control's name should end with 1, and so on. Some sort of validaion

I am using ASP.NET WebForms if such information is needed.
