I am adding some dynamic image buttons to a form in my code behind (vb.net) and added a click event handler, but it never fires. Also when I click on a button the page posts back and everything below my update panel disappears.
I have few textboxes on a page which are loaded dynamically on change of text in dropdownlist. The user enters values in these textboxes and clicks on a addnewitem button. In the code behind I want to capture the values entered in these textboxes. But I get the value as empty.
On Pageload mthd there is nothing which is referencing to createdynamiccontrols method. Then I have
[Code]....
Firstly i am getting object reference not set to an instance of an object when the createchildcontrols method is called the second time and also if I dont have the createdynamiccontrols method in additem click event, controls are no longer tehre...
I am developing a web site to display some data that is inside a database. To do this I've created an ASPX web page that opens a connection to a database and retrieves the desired data. After that it populates an asp:table object dynamically.
The problem is that some of the fields that are retrieved from the database are too large to be displayed on the web page, so I decided to make a popup that would be able to display just the desired field.
To do this I've added a button to the asp:table so that when the user clicks it the popup would appear with the contents of the field. However what is happening is that when the user clicks on the button, the page just gets reloaded and the Click event handler is never called.
Below is the code in which I add the button to a TableCell, and the TableCell to the TableRow collection:
[Code]....
note that the popupHandler is a delegate to the function below. I am using it as a the Click event handler for testing purposes.
[Code]....
Also you should be aware that the table is only populated when the user clicks on a "Query" button inside the main ASPX web page, this means that I only populate the table after the PageLoad event has occurred.
i have datalist and on button click event i check the checkbox is checked or notfor this my code is
<asp:DataList runat="server" ID="dlstproductsize"> <ItemTemplate> <input type="checkbox" value="<%#eval("size_id")%>" id="chksize" runat="server" /> Â Â <%#Eval("name")%> </ItemTemplate> </asp:DataList> If chkallowsize.Checked = True Then For Each item In dlstproductsize.Items If (CType(item.FindControl("chksize"), HtmlInputCheckBox)).Checked = True Then ocommon.ProductMapingInsert(uniq_id.Text, CType(item.FindControl("chksize"), HtmlInputCheckBox).Value) End If Next End If
i get the error like object reference not set to the object
There are two user controls, which are built dynamically.
In the first control, I am adding a link button, and trying to attach a click event on the same. But the event is not fired.
Actually the main goal is, when the link is clicked, based on which one is clicked, I need to show second control (the values on the new controls are based on the first controls link button that is clicked).
If I use javascript, I will need to use ActiveX or is there any other way to instantiate the second control using javascript

One of my webpages has an asp.net ListView control, with an insertitem template defined. I would like to allow the users of the page to enter data in a text field in the insertitem template, press the enter key, and trigger the insert event (which normally happens when you click the 'insert' button). I've tried simulating the button click event in javascript, but that doesn't seem to be working.

I have a master page with an accordion in it inside the accordion panel1 are 3 dropdownlists (ajax cascading) and a button when the default page is loaded i want to select the dropdown values(this works) and then click the button to redirect to another page called test.sapx (this works). The thing i also want to do is pass the dropdownlist values to the new page as the dropdownlists reset. I was trying to do this through the click event on the button and set them in a session variable. The click event isn't firing at all. The page redirects and then if i click the button again it fires the event?

I create dynamic buttons from code behind.I get some id from query string, create button with that id ,dynamic add event handler to click event, and add button to placeholder.I store the list of id-s in session and in page load method recreate these buttons and add to placeholder. One of the id-s is CurrentId and it's also stored in session.Buttons click handler do something like this
In page load when I create buttons I want to set button text property different from others if id==Convert.ToInt32(Session["CurrentId"]) when list of id-s are gotten from session. But problem is that click event handler is called after page load, and when I create buttons in page load ,CurrentId in session hasn't been channged by click event handler. Can you suggest any solution to this situation?
public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) if (!IsPostBack) // If page loads for first time Session["update"] = Server.UrlEncode(System.DateTime.Now.ToString()); // Assign the Session["update"] with unique value [code]...
I just discover why some validation is working bad on some of my forms: the button click event is being called before page load.
What I need for good is (I consider this is a normal cycle of events):
The user press a buttonSome validation occurs at client side (js function returns true if success)Some validation occurs at server sideThe page loads again showing the results But this is what I get (BAD):
The user press a buttonSome validation occurs at client side (js function returns true if success)The page loads showing no results, because server validation hasnt happened yet Some validation occurs at server sideThe page doesn´t loads again and I cant see the results, so my client cant know what happened on the server side
I have a button which starts processing. I want that when ever a button is click from page1.aspx .. a count down timer should start and displayed on page2.aspx. I am thinking of using iframe to join 2 pages.
