Localization :: Convert Calender Control Date To Localized Date?
Apr 29, 2010
I am using asp .net calender control to display date...I need to convert that date format to localized date ....Already I have resource file for other content...How can I do this?
am developing an application using asp.net+ajax.i used calender extender control to select date and showing that date in a text box.my requirement is when select date from the previous year (i.e 2009) from the calender extender control...then a message should show like"you should not select the previous year date" and immediately current day date should fill in textbox.
I would like to set a default date, not the current date ( say 31/11/2011) for the calender control. What date format should I be using for the datetime variable so the calender control accepts the date. I have tried using the following date format but I keep getting the error: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
[Code]....
Or is there another way to set a date for the calender control.
Actually I have Multiple update panels on page, which update different values on server but the problem is that I have textbox to which I attach javascript class for datepicker on Load event.
But There are other updatepanels before that date TextBox, when I update them first calender image with date control which is in updatepanel disappears. or it remove the calender which is next to the textbox.
i m using calenderExtender control, here i want to restrict the user not able to select future date its also working fine , now i want to restrict the user cant select future date than current day+7 (next day)
for ex:
if today is 10 march then he can select next 7 days means till 17 march bt he cant select 18 march
Is there a way to use user's culture to localize the Range Validator for date? I am looking for a good way to validate date and avoiding to provide a fix format (e.g.: do a dd/mm/yyyy using Regular Expression Validator)
I have several reports that I have published to a SQL 2008 report server with parameters that are dates (DateTime format). For these parameters, a calendar icon is displayed next to the textbox to allow users to select the date via mouse. Some of my reports are used by people overseas (England), where the date format is dd.mm.yy (instead of mm/dd/yyyy).
I went to the report properties, and changed the Language property from "un-US" to "en-GB". The affect of this is that all of the dates that are displayed on my report now show the date format of [dd.mm.yy] (which is good). However, the textbox where they specify the report parameter still shows the old mm/dd/yyyy format.
Can this be changed somehow? I have looked around, but could not find a setting that would apply to this. Or is this a client-side setting (in other words, when viewed overseas, it takes the "native" date format)?
iv got an ASP site to book flights, when i select a date from the calender and display that date in a textbox it displays the date but then only 00:00:00
Im using Ajax calender extender in my asp.net page on clicking asp.net button it show calender popup on selecting date its binding on textbox all are working fine,
what i need is i need to set shortcut for todays day.. on clicking button its show calender on press some keyboard it bind todays date in textbox..
I have used ajax calender in my project.I need the following requirement1. If the current month is february, then i need to disable current month all date. like this and so on ....2. If the current month is feb, then i need to show january month first and last date alone, other date should be diasbled !
I am using .Net Framework 4.0 along with Asp.net C# and using Jquery with Ajax for retrieving data but medium is used name as JSON So whenever we retrieve date from database using JSON its show in this format /Date(1297246301973)/. How can i convert this into as normal date like (mm/dd/yyyy)?You better understand like this.My input Date is : 14/2/2011 My output Date is : /Date(1297246301973)/
i would like to compare the current date with the date entered by user..however, i'm encountering errors so far..
i tried something like this:
<asp:TextBox id="txtDate1" runat="server" /> <asp:CompareValidator runat="server" ErrorMessage="The date must be greater than today" ControlToValidate="txtDate1" type="date" ValuetoCompare="DateTime.Today.ToShortDateString()" />
and i got an error stating that the value of DateTime.Today.ToShortDateString() of the ValueToCompare property of "" cannot be converted to type 'date' i also tried ValueToCompare="DateTime.Now.Date()" and i got the same error message.
i have two text boxs for 'start date' and 'end date'. I am using the CalenderExtender to display the calender to pick the date. how can i make sure the end date is some day that is after the start date? need some way to validate the end date...i have the html code
i used below code for date time picker validation but it's not working.
Actually I want a date time picker which date dd/mm/yyyy format date. With validation for start and end date. Also for manual entry it should take only no. and for date rest like / or, will be auto formatted.means user should not be able to enter it.
I have a Formview in INSERT Mode that is binded to a datatable. One of the colums in my Database called "AppointmentDate" is of type DateTime. On aspx, i have a ajax calender extender control. What I want to do is allow the User to Select the date from the Calender and also enter a time. Basically so they can make an appointment. What is the best way to do this in C Sharp and do i need a time column as well
I've been struggling with one of my reports executed on MS SQL Server 2005 and built with SSRS 2k5.
Indeed, this report can be executed by many people around the world and as a consequence with different browser cultures.
My SQL Server is a French version of SQL Server 2005. So is SRRS 2005.
When a user with a en-US browser culture executes the report, two datepickers allow him to choose dates. Those datepickers are well localized (m/d/yyyy) but my server interprets the chosen dates as French ones (dd/mm/yyyy) thus retrieving wrong results.
I've tried to set the report's language to French but the datepickers are still localized. how I could either force the report's culture or have sql server properly interpret dates.
i am facing a problem to change the date format in label.
i get the date from database with format("yyyy-MM-dd")
[Code]....
however, when it display to the label, it change to different date format because it follow the date format which is set in control panel. how to make the date display in label to a fix format? i want the date format ("yyyy-MM-dd"). the below coding is fail.lbl_approval_approve_date.Text = Format(lbl_approval_approve_date.Text, "yyyy-MM-dd") the date will display in excel which i generate it to report viewer.
