I am looking for single webpage templates suitable for business profiles, no navigation needed. Does any such resource exisit. Frontpage use to have prebuilt pages - does the new VS 2010 have any resource for quick and simple webpage construction?

now problem is that how to create template field and edit template field for updating fields of salary table because field of the salary table changing every time as it is creating dynamically.

If I dont do pagination and save the file, the gridview just breaks up and half is displayed on firstpage and half on next page. is there a way that if the gidview cannot fit on one page, I can break it and display rest of it on nextpage?
View 5 RepliesI have a stored procedure that returns 3 tables within the single recordset it returns. If I set a SqlDataSource to get data from this procedure, it works, but it only returns the first table. I want to have a GridView display the data from the 2nd or 3rd table using a SqlDataSource, but I can't figure out how to specify a particular table.
While there are some posts discussing this out there, I can't get a definitive answer about whether or not this is even possible (?). In a worst-case scenario, I can create another SP that only returns the 3rd table - but that creates a little maintenance headache that I would prefer to avoid.
For context: First of all, I am new to LINQ, as I have been using SubSonic for quite some time now.
I have two tables, Users, and Affiliates. They both have a very typical schema. The FK that joins them is the UserId field, which is in the Affiliates table. I want to create a LINQ query that pulls the Username from the Users table using the AffiliateId value. The AffiliateId is a primary key of the Affiliates table.
I have tried to accomplish this using many variations of the following code:

In the above query, I expect to get a single row result set. However, I instead receive the entire table of results.
How can I make this work? I have yet to see an example or article out there to do what I am trying to do.

View 2 RepliesI am working on a financial portal and I am having a problem..I don;t know what to call it so i mentioned it as an 'unknown to me' problem..I have a webpage..whenever I click on any button on my webpage, the request goes through..but nothing show up on the webpage..then If I click on another link and then again come back to previous link,then only I see the results of button_click..
e.g.
I have a currency conversion and investment form..so after filling up the form in following way and if I click on "INVEST" then nothing shows up..
so now if i click on any other link and go back to 'buy currency' link I see the result as 'investment successful'
I would like to allow users to call my ruby on rails app as a service which returns a 'div' with html content in it, and embed that div into their app (which will not be a rails application).
For example, assume someone has their own php website that has a header/footer template that gets rendered, and a content area of the page that they need to fill based on some html I generate in my rails app. I would like to allow them, from php, to call to my website, get the 'div' I generate, and embed that as html in their php page.
What I'm trying to do is host a service on my site that returns some html content, but actually show that content as part of another site, so that the end user only sees the other site and never really knows about mine.
Also, I can use javascript on the client to do this if that is the only way, but I would prefer the php app to handle this at the server if possible so the client gets the html embedded from the original server and it looks like it all was generated by the php script that generated the entire page. I also want to avoid using an iframe.
I developed an application form which includes some textboxes for input. When the user click on the button the following tasks has to be done.
1) If page is valid all data should be stored in database
2) A new webform should appear on the same window and the some content of the application form should be displayed in it.
3) When clicking on browser back button it should not post back to previous page.....
I did the first task..and i don't know the code for the remaining tasks. Here is some information

Am wondering if anyone has gone through the same process and has put them anywhere on the public domain where I could obtain them rather than "reinventing the wheel"? Would it be a problem (or a bad idea) to give both text boxes the ID "NameTextBox"?Better yet, is there a way I can create a single template that is used in both insert and edit modes? We are testing Visual Studio 2010 and are wondering if there is a masterpage/content page template source for this requirement. All of these folder website will be administered in house, no additional user access will be needed. Essentially we would like MasterPage and Basic Content page code that can be dropped into a folder. Is there any safe source for this?
I was reading the new template features of MVC 2 in: [URL] Is it possible to redefine the Templates folder? Maybe having all templates on a folder named Templates on View root? I need to create an editor template that displays three drop down boxes, day, year and month when a DateTime property is passed in the model. But I would like to have some kind of control on the year range when calling the template. Can this be done?

If you are running Visual Studio you'll need to restart it before you can see any effects.
I also have installed n2cms_2.0_Framework and mvc 1 installed although I do not see it in VS 2010. I am running VS 2010 on Windows 7 Ultimated with SQL 2008 RC. VS and SQL are on Drive D:
Should these templates be part of IIS under inetput/wwwroot? assist me with this questions or point me in the right direction.
im using dataAnnotation and meta data for my model classes all all is good however i dont like that it creates an untidy form, and would rather it comes out in a nice table i have set a style for so i have labels next to my inputs etc. now there was a post somewhere that they are created from TT files and that you can set MVC to run from custom TT files but how do i do this? anyone got a link to the post somewhere.
