I have an MVC 2 application with 2 views sharing the same master page. When I post the form and return a view, it opens a new window. I want the same page to be displayed, but with the new view.

I am developing a simple rating system for my employer's profile based web-app. Here is my problem:
The actual page is domain.com/review.aspx?user=username, but I use the url-rewrite module in IIS to use domain.com/username/review The page contains a repeater control that displays reviews for that username, as well as a form for people to create new reviewsWhen the form is submitted, asp.net re-appends the (hidden) querystring to the url on postback.The post-back url is now domian.com/username/review?user=username&review, causing the page to break if refreshed.
Is there any way to keep asp.net from re-appending the querystrings that are actually already present, but re-written with IIS

I'm using the following span to open a page in a new window. What is INCREDIBLY odd is that it is exactly the same code from three different pages, but the first refuses to open in a new window. The only difference is that the first example resides within an Ajax Accordian Panel so I suspect that it might be an Ajax related issue.

The problem is when i click the button, it works fine... but wichever i button i press next makes the method fire again, despite i doesn't call it. Its just the button with id "lnkPrecheck" that should call the method. Have searched far and wide for a slolution that just opens a new window for the lnkPrecheck button, not the others on the site.THere must be a way for only 1 of 3 buttons makes the function call, not all of them!

I am implementing a web form, and when a checkbox is clicked, contents of the form are changed (i.e. additional checkboxes are being selected), and webform is refreshed to show the new contents. however, instead of displaying new contents within the original IE window, a new IE window is openned with new contents, and the old window remains there without any content update. i did not request for window.open or provide a _blank to specifically indicate a redirect should go to a new IE window. I just want the original IE window being refreshed to reflect the content changes. i have worked with asp.net for years and i think that be default refresh of the webform to reflect new changes always stay in the same IE window and thus never pay attention on how to open or surppress a new IE window? i think it is some config, but don't know what config and where i should look for it.

I can't seem to find a property in the Radiobutton (Ie on clientclick) that I can set the target to self on the Radiobutton that defaults the self behaviour.

View 3 RepliesI've been trying to add a Hyperlink column to my gridview that opens a page via a pop-up window that passes an ID. Target="_blank" won't work because I need it to be a specific size.
I've been trying to set it up with Javascript functions but DataNavigateURLFormatString takes away the clickablility on the field if you call javascript. NavigateURL seems to work but without an ID passing to the function it will only open one specific webpage.I have also tried Boundfields but have had no success either.This is the closest I have come to getting it to work:

But with the NavigateURL its only displaying the link as is.
I'm using the Telerik RadWindow control in one of my applications. When a user wants to authorize Twitter for the application the window displays the OAuth dialog for Twitter.
However, each time I display the pop-up for Twitter OAuth, or even just the plain Twitter page, the entire browser is redirected.
The control works just fine when the URL is pointed at a site other than Twitter. I'd like to see if I can block that redirect, or if perhaps there's an easier way to accomplish the OAuth confirmation.
An ASP.NET Chart control is refreshed on page post back -- but I don't want it to be.

I can't work out a way to do this as the routing engine is not executed for a physical page and in the page.aspx Page_Load method I have no way of knowing whether the URL was entered directly or was the result of a route.

I have a page, the user types in e-mail and then submits. The next page is a confirmed page - letting the user know that his -mail was entered. If you then click back, the forum will try to re-submit itself. Is there a way to stop this?

I've a asp.net form and user enters some data in the text boxes provided. Whenever user submits the form, browser will save that form data. I don't want this form data to be saved in browser. How can I restrict the browser saving this form data without touching the browser settings?

I am using Ajax Validator call out extender to validate a web form. The error messages are displayed as expected. But I am able to save the form with data that should not have been entered. For ex: for a number field, I type in "sdsd" and the ajax control displays a pop up displaying the error message "Numbers only allowed"..
but at the same time, I can click on the submit button with the text in the number field... at which time, the web page displays error as I am trying to insert a text in a data type int field. I either have to clear the field on pop up error display or not let the user click submit when ajax validator is active. whats the best way?
