MVC :: Views - Unable To Find Model Type That Is Contained In Module Assembly?
Feb 3, 2011
When i loading modules from different places i injected them to controller factory, but when it is trying to load strongly typed views it can't find model type that is contained in module assembly.I made new ViewEngine and now it looks in right places but it cant load strongly typed views.
So as i understand i need to show the view where to find class model. If you have any other ideas please tel me. And one more i need this problem to be solved for WebFormViewEngine and RazorViewEngine.
i am using vs2008 for web page. i want to see my assembly name. For this i am right clicking on solution/project name but i am not able to see assemble name .
I have started a new MVC application (I am new to MVC and ASP.net in general) I am trying to write a custom provider class that overrides the MembershipProvider class.
The project compiles fine. In the web.config file, I have added the following line:
When I try to register a user, I get the error message:
Configuration Error Description:An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately
Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'Website.AspNet.Supplier.EYEAspProvider' from assembly 'FsWebsiteLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral'.
What am I missing / doing wrong here, causing that exception?
My observations so far:
In the Reflector these resource is visible, and named as MyNameSpace.scripts.jquery-min.js In the AssemblyInfo.cs file of the project, the file is registered as:
[assembly: WebResource("scripts/jquery-min.js", "text/javascript")] The file lives in the 'scripts' directory
On a sidenote, I've tried using Page.ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl() but this generates an URL without checking if the resource exists. It also seems WebResource.axd is not mapped in Web.config at all.
I'm unable to find the Assembly info for a app created in VS 2010. I right click on the solution, click properties and then it allows me to select the Configuration Manager...but I don't see a tab for the assembly info
I have a web site that uses the both c# and vb.net in the app_code section. The different languages are separated into their own folder and correctly configured in the web.config.
This works fine 95% of the time. In production using 2 load balanced servers I sporadically receive an error message along the lines of:
"Unable to find assembly 'App_SubCode_BasicCode.xxx, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=netural, PublicKeyToken=null'.
The site is hosted in IIS7 and I think it has something to do with the name of the dll assigned during dynamic compilation. I do not see this problem in a single server environment. Could this be because when the session is balanced to the second server the dynamic compiled dll name is different?
I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and i downloaded the toolkit from Codeplex,I downloaded the zip file which i've marked red in the below link..This is my code, [Code]....
& this is the error i get," Could not load type 'System.Web.UI.ScriptReferenceBase' from assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' "
I saw this post,http://forums.asp.net/p/1273185/3439540.aspx and
i changed my TOOLSCRIPTMANAGER into SCRIPTMANAGER & now i get this error http://forums.asp.net/t/1529516.aspx
i have installed ajax control kit successfully and all controls already came in toolbar tab named "Ajax Control toolkit"But when i try to design any page using with ajax control toolkit, follow error is coming:

I am using VIsual Studio 2008 , framework 3.5 but i don't know why in error information version is showing 2.0
i install tool kit according 3.5 framework.also note, framework built-in ajax tags i can use fine and they work properly.
I made a few changes to the DB in SQL server management studio then right clicked on the .edmx doc to get it to update. That seemed to work fine but when i compiled the app everything that referenced the EF seems to be broken. The Error list now contains the below error for all classes that used it.
The type or namespace name '' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
I have two projects in my solution: a) MVC Application b) Class Library. The class library acts as a plugin, so it contains views. The main problem is that I have no intellisense in the view's markup for my classes contained within the class library (the same assembly as the views). In the beginning I couldn't even write <%= Html.RenderAction... %>. I've solved that by adding a Web.config file to the class library with the following section:
Now it recognizes Html.RenderAction, etc in the view's markup. However I've no idea how to get access (with intellisense) to my classes contained within the same assembly as the views
If I have a reference in my project to System.Data.Linq in an MVC application compiled against 3.5 I can use Linq to SQL generated entity objects in my views and access the foreign key entity sets. If I try and do the same thing in 4.0 I get the error messageCompiler Error Message: CS0012: The type 'System.Data.Linq.EntitySet`1<T0>' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Data.Linq, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.
I am new to MVC framwork and have a big project on my hand. The MVC given a inbuilt membership provider .But I want to a custom database account management of users like admin user, subadmin user and site users.provide me functionlity(total step by step ) about login module with work with stored procedure and how i validate valid user login in the site and redirect from home page with displaying username etc.
I have 2 partial views and models for them. I want to show both views on page and i assume i need one model to pass to the page. Do i have to create all the properties again for both partial views into one model?
In my project I use Strong Types Views. Because I find it nice structured.
public abstract class AbstractViewData: View Page ( ICollection Foo; ) public class HTML Component View Data: AbstractViewData ( string Foo2; )
I have the same structure in my code, as in the corresponding pages. And here starts the problems. I would like to use HTML.Display (o => o.Foo) could be a customer for that matter. But my Strong Types Views have not posted Metadata Model into my classes.Like: Return View ( "FooView", customer); would. Is there a way to write some code that can solve this problem for me?
I am using LibCurlNet on my asp.net project. I post some fields to server with it. I downloaded library and added it to my project as reference. At first I could run my project.
But now when I run project, I have an exception:
[code]...
and I have the exception at line "Curl.GlobalInit((int)CURLinitFlag.CURL_GLOBAL_ALL);"
When I try to add reference to my project, in bin folder I found three .dll file but I just add the "LibCurlNet.dll".
I'm adding a reference to a funciones.dll file using
clr.AddReferenceToFileAndPath() because I couldnt get it to work other way with this file and it succesfully does it. The file is named funciones.dll and it's in the bin folder. But when I do
from funciones import *
I get "no module named funciones"
since the funciones.dll file it's a funciones.py file compiled, shouldnt the module name only be named funciones and no any other name? isnt the name the problem and it's another? I dont know what other info could be relevant here but if there is any let me know
I've got a subweb as application. It's called ADMIN. It works fine when running locally but when deploying in the development web server, i got the error: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Web.HttpApplication' to type 'Microsoft.Practices.CompositeWeb.WebClientApplication'
I've got a App_global.asax.dll and App_global.asax.complied on the subweb folder Admin.
I have an asp.net 3.5 application. When i try to load the application it says: Exception Details: System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'VSPerf100.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
The application works fine on my win 7 machine. i tried the same on win server 2008 r2 where in i get the above message.
my controller, I'm generically deserializing Xml. The object being deserialized to could end up being any number of different types. This, of course, won't be known at compile time. I've created a number of partial views, each of which are strongly typed to a different object that is a possible outcome of the Xml deserializaton. My problem is that I'm struggling with a good way to return the right view. I could always switch on some property in the object, or use a Key/ViewName Dictionary mapping to get the right view name, but I was hoping for something a little more generic than that.Does anyone know of a way that I could implicitly say, "return the view that is typed off of the object I have."?
