Mobiles :: File Transfer Application In Windows Phone 7
Nov 26, 2010
I am trying to develop an application to do file transfer between 2 WIN Phone 7 through 3G.How can we accomplish this task?Is there any msdn articles available for this?
I am developing winodws phone application. I need to download and open a file when click "Download File".i have done this in asp.net by using the follwoing code.. it's working fine in asp.net.BUT, I need the same functionality in WINDOWS PHONE 7.
I have one .xamel page and this one is default page (first page) and then I added a new one page (named page2.xaml) in same solution. I added a button on the firs page and i want to navigate to a second page when i click on button
We have a whole bunch of WML pages that are served out using ASHX files and we've had no problems with them. However, someone has just got a Windows 7 Phone and when they browse to one of these pages they get:
Can't download file! Windows Phone doesn't support .ashx files Is there some IIS configuration that we need to do to make this work?
I am very new to iPhone development. I have some queries regarding it and these are:
1) Can I develop iPhone application on Windows PC with the help of .NET framework? I have heard that if it is required to distribute the app throgh iPhone store, it must be developed on MAC OS.
2) Is there any open source framework that does the same? The purpose is to distribute the application.
3) Is there only one solution - get a intel MAC OS and develop iPhone app on this very machine?
I am using Visual Studio 2008, I am new bie to create windows mobile application. I haven't installed Windows Mobile 6 SDK. I have started with built-in SDK and Emulators of VS 2008..
My question is, Can i create windows mobile application without connecting device ( Mobile or Pocket PC )?
Can I detect the Name/model no of the mobile phones ,which are browsing my asp.net website from C# code behind? I need to show welcome message, addressing their model numbers and redirect to appropriate pages.
i'm te new begginer in this forum and in mobile device i want to ask to you all about monitoring hardware using cell phone especially cpu usage and memory usage. can you all help me, give me some example code, please.i hope you all can answer my question soon, cause i need to finish my last project for complete my study.
I am trying to display a local .html file in a web page. The file uses javascript to display some information about my phone. In the executable, I am retrieving two values out of the registry. I would like to pass these values in a query string (I think that is the correct terminology). Something like file://\Program Files\TestTest.html?type=newtype. I have attempted this with using webbrowser.navigate, but that is giving an unhandled exception when it tries to pass the URI string. Obviously, I have no experience with this and am using the wrong method. There has to be a simple way to open a new webpage in a form and pass it this type of string.
how to implement such a function? I have been attempting to implement this with Visual C# using the .net CF for Windows Mobile.
I have a web application in asp.net and C# that must access a remote server to copy some files. The web application basically deploys other web applications. Let us say that the web app runs on a "developement" server and needs to interact with a "production" server. From the user's point of view they are both remote machines. He accesses the application (running on the "developement" machine) on his browser and does not see the code and the access credentials to the "production" machine
I have been reading about adding a webservice to an MVC project and how this might conflict with the MVC structure. I added a webservice and it works with windows phone 7, it receives a number, (it's a simple application). I added the webservice by right clicking the Controller folder and selecting add new item->webservice. I am using the SOAP support already integrated in visual studio. I was wondering if there is a way that instead of adding a webservice that the windows phone 7 receives and sends data directly to the controller. The windows phone 7 communicates by right clicking on the solution explorer and adding a service reference.
I have a simple windows form app that I need to get the file path for. I am placing a config file in the same directory and I need to be able to get the path to that file.
I have used Application.CommonAppDataPath but that returns the path with 1.0.0.0 at the end.
and Applicaiton.StartupPath but that returns the path with indebug at the end
Is there anyway to get the path to just the main file directory without anything appended to the end?
I've developed a chat application using WCF/ASp.net. I want to asynchronously transfer a file from one chat user to another chat user. What is best approach for this?here are my insights/doubts
wanted to know what is the easiest way to interface a mobile phone device with an online system. I have literally NO knowledge in this domain. However, I am brainstorming on possibility of an online application that will allow me to backup my data in nokia set 3110 such as my Address book in the application and restore it. This I want to achieve without connecting my phone to any PC. I am thinking on some way to achieve this by leveraging mobile phone line only. I beleive it may require my application to connect to mobile phone through mobile phone network. Currently my mobile phone line subscriber is offering Address Book backup/ restore service with some charge. I want to see if I can replicate similar features. I would really appreciate if you can give a direction to my random thoughts. If anything is not clear then please feel free to inquire. I look forward to your kind response.
I have a visual studion 2010 solution with two projects
1 . A class libarary
[Code]....
2. A windows service application
[Code]....
The service application is used to convert .dbf files to xml. The convertion is done using the classlibary project wich is called by the windows service application. This class library project has some values hard coded. like the path to look for the .dbf file
I want to make these hard coded values changable. like moving them to an app.config file. To which project I have to add the app.config file (classlibary or windows service)? How can I use the value from configuration file in classlibrary ?
I know that ASP.NET MVC has error filter attribute to handle specified error type. However, this feature cannot catch any error that occurs when application start. Therefore, I need to add some code to "Application_Error" method for handling this error like the following code.
public void Application_Error(object sender, EventArgs e) {// At this point we have information about the error var ctx = HttpContext.Current; var exception = ctx.Server.GetLastError(); [code]...
