I have only a textbox in a page. If I type something inside the textbox and click carriage return key (Enter), the page refreshes and the textbox becomes blank again.
What is actually happening here? Why the page refreshes? Is it the default property of asp.net?
I have an ASP.NET TextBox with TextMode = TextBoxMode.MultiLine that is used within an AJAX Update Panel. The .Text value has been pre-set to a value that has multiple lines.
When using Chrome(7.0.517.41) or Firefox(3.6.11) working with the controls posted back value on the server the carriage return is lost if the user hasn't edited the pre-set value.

Now the problem is, that in the string are multiple lines, with much empty space. so i want the remove only the double linebreaks.
example of my textbox:
{empty} {empty} 'This is some text in the textbox on line 3 'some text on line 4 {empty} 'some text on line 6 {empty} {empty} 'some text on line 9 {empty}

I'm having a hard time to return a string value. I usually do this by passing an int, which works just fine. Now, I need to pass a string but couldn't. Is this possible? Or int is only type that SQL can return?
if (Class1.Controle(Convert.ToInt32(txt1.Text), txt2.Text))
[Code]....
I was thinking something amongst those lines, but I can't call p.GebruikerWachtwoord. So I'm guessing this is completely wrong.I hope somebody can help me figure this out, and I apologise for the poor explanation, English isn't my native language.
