SQL Server :: Select Statement For Multiple Tables

SELECT u.Email FROM UserProfiles p, aspnet_Membership u WHERE p.RulesCheckBox = 'True' AND u.UserId = p.UserId This gives me a list of registered member email addresses that have selected the RulesCheckBox in their profile, so I can email them with an email script. There is a relationship between the Membership table and the UserProfile table, so it finds the email addresses from the Membership table where that user has the RulesCheckBox checked in their profile (in UserProfiles table). I'm wanting to add some additional names to this list, from a different table. The purpose is so I can manually add email addresses to the additional table, so the additional email addresses will also receive the same email, even though they aren't registered members of the site. So how can I adjust that SELECT statement so this one is combined with it somehow?:
SELECT Email FROM ExtraEmails WHERE Rules = 'true'

I'm facing a problem in our current running application. There is a table in database which has 67 columns,among these 18 columns are nvarchar(max) datatype and contains 30K records. Problem is now that SELECT * FROM myTable it takes around 3 to 4 seconds. Which is degrading our application's performance.

I basically have a series of tables from one database that have an identical structure thus making retrieval of all records fairly easy (I just use a UNION ALL statement). However I need a list of values from another table within a different database that contains information regarding the group of the data.
I so far have the following:
SELECT Table1.* FROM Table1 UNION ALL SELECT Table2.* FROM Table2 UNION ALL SELECT Table3.* FROM Table3 UNION SELECT Database.dbo.SRFILE.SR_GROUP FROM Database.dbo.SRFILE INNER JOIN Database.dbo.SRFILE.SRONUMBER = Table1.Incidentx
I keep receiving a unable to parse message however all I need to retreive is the SR_GROUP value but just don't know the correct syntax. Is it actually possible to do this as the structure of SRFILE is not the same as Table1/2/3.

Is there a way to select data from multiple tables other than the UNION ALL statement. Addtionally I need to select data from a different database.
My current statement is as follows (there are alot more fields but I have shortened it ):

I am trying to count records belonging to a certain person in three different tables in a single select statement. The database looks like this:
Player
-PlayerId
-Name
Game
-GameId
-TournamentId
...
Goal
-GameId (FK->Game.GameId)
-PlayerId (FK->Player.PlayerId)
-Assist (FK->Player.PlayerId)
Card
-CardId
-GameId (FK->Game.GameId)
-PlayerId(FK->Player.PlayerId)
I want to select the number of goals, assist and cards a player has in a specific tournament. I tried with this query but then the goal and card column shows the sum of the number of rows matching the playerid in the Goal table and the Card table...For example if there is two matching rows in the goal table and three matching rows in the card table, I get 5 in both these columns in the resultset.

I've got 3 tables.
Table A: UID, Name
Table B: CID, Category
Table C: ID, UID, CID
I've got a TextBox to capture the value of "Name" in Table A.
Ive got a CheckBoxList that displays all the pre-determined values of Table B.
When the user selects an item from the CheckBoxList i want to populate Table C with the value of the selected item from the CheckBoxList and the cooresponding ID associated with the user name for that person's entry.
How do I write the INSERT statement?

if I have three Dropdownlist A, B, C, how can I write a select statement to get data from sql server based on the dropdownlist selected.e.g. if user select dropdownlist A, select * from table where A = dropdownlist A but if user select dropdownlist A and C, then select statment is "select * from table where A = dropdownlist A and B = dropdownlist B or if selected A, B, C.......how can I settle so many choice.

im creating advance search for my project and end up with the problem of select statement format for 2category.
here is example:
i have advancesearch that has checkbox wherein you can select multiple checkbox. example is selecting category, for example ihave 5 category as shown below.

News Sports Opinion Editorial Literary i did tried someformats for my select statements to make it work for 2 or more category, but i just cant get the right format of the select statement.
example if i select the following.
if selected is category 'Sports'
it wil work with this: " 'Select * MyTable1 where [Category Title]='Sports' "
if selected are category 'Sports' and 'News'. what must be the format for my selectstatement for 2 or more category in the same fieldname? should it work with this?

I have a select statement that is supposed to be filling grid with information from an income table. It's only supposed to pull if the income is from the current fiscal year or is less than 1 year old. Currently, what it does is pull multiples of rows and also rows from past income years but only if there is a mixture. For instance, if a person has income from 2005 and 2010 what it will show is this
Income 2005
Income 2005
Income 2010
Income 2010
Income 2010
Does anyone know what I've done wrong? BTW, those results are exact, old income is shown twice, current is shown 3X

This question is for wrapping up work on a database driven AJAX AutoComplete Control that I am using to provide keyword hints to user on search pages. Each record has 6 columns for keywords where each column is for an advertiser to add a keyword. These are used in meta keywords tags, but I also want to use them for AutoComplete. The problem is that I don't know how to write a SELECT statement in Visual Studio that treats all 6 keyword columns as if they were all one column. I am looking for something like
SELECT (keyword1 + keyword2 + keyword3) AS Keywords
FROM (Merchandise)
WHERE Keywords LIKE @term
The only other thing I can think of the gain this level of functionality would be to combine them into a new table.

I have a Winform that has fields need to be filled by a user. All the fields doesn't belong to one table, the data will go to Customer table and CustomerPhone table, so i decided to do multiple inserts. I have to pull up a list of people by their branch number which could vary, and give a detailed report on there performance using a select queries. I have the select queries but how can i create a script to look similar to this one. Ive got the branch drop downlist already created just need to know how i can go about pulling all the users in this group and doing this select to all of them. someone told me I might need to use cursors to loop thru a select with every person in the list but im not sure how to go about that.

Here is the deal. I need to create a Stored Procedure that has 2 SELECT statements. Now in ASP.NET, I know that a DataSet can have multiple tables and the DataAdapter can do just that. I am stuck with a scenario where I need to get a value from the first SELECT statement which will later be used in the second SELECT statement. I am creating a SP that passes one parameter (@AnswerID). Which should give me 2 resultsets. See below SELECT statements.

So how do I get the QuestionID from the first SELECT statement?
Basically I am creating a Questionnaire that has Question Dependacies. So from the above SQL statements I would like to display the Question Title with it's relevant answer options but depending on the previous Answer selected hence the @AnswerID parameter.
The reason why I want to use 2 SELECT statements is because I don't want to have 2 roundtrips to th server. So in my code the DataAdapter should return 2 resultsets and fill the DataSet.
If there is any another solution that can prevent 2 roundtrips to the server, I would most definitely like to know how to do it.

this might be an easy one, but I just can't get it.I am creating a page which will query a table with many columns and most items are not unique. I need to be able to get a list of records that match as many of the (up to 4) search criteria as possible.Example:am user searching for the following items, I enter at least one and up to 4 of the items below in a text box:Name, age, gender, weight (user may or may not fill in all of them).If he just enters "F" for gender, then he will get a list of thousands of females with their name, age, gender and weight.However if he enters "F" for gender and "300" for weight, he will get a much smaller list of returned records.I need to be able to create a sql statement that can perform that search with that functionality.
