I am trying to attach my database to Microsoft SQL Server Management... I right clicked on Database -> Add and then tried to look into the directory however I cannot expand the directory and when I use the exact hyperlink [...]httpdocsApp_DataurantitDB.mdf

I'm getting tired figuring out this error. Well, Basically. I have uploaded my ASP.net website to a server (IIS installed) as well as the VB project I made.
BOTH are connecting to a DB named CLIENTS.
the website uses a datagrid to show data, while the VB Project updates the DB based on a monitored folder.
The Problem is If the website is opened first the VB project shows an error "Unable to open the physical file (MDF). Operating system error 32 (error not found)" and Vice Versa if the VB project is first started.
I am using asp.net 3.5. My Hosting provider has given me a folder to upload my publish application, now when I am entering [URL], I am not getting my homepage, but when I am running the same application on my local I am getting home page. let me know what I have to modify so that when usertype [URL] it will open like [URL]

It is giving me a file not found error.So when I read online every one is suggesting me to add the correct MIME type at tyhe IIS level. I don't know if that's the correct thing to do.I opened IIS and navigated to folder FOLDER right clicked and selected properties -> HTTP Headers -> MIME Types->New -> Extension -> .Xlsx-> What should i be entering for MIME type?

We're having an error similar to the one detailed here. We get the error noted above when trying to do AD authentication from our .net (3.5) mvc 2 app. This is our first .net mvc app ...

- We are re-using a forms auth library written for a .Net 2 app
- that library/app/config used a service account with min. privileges for binding to AD
- This error occurs in VS 2008, have not tried deploying the app to a server yet (a little early for that)
- like the other user at the previously referenced thread, I can get the 'unable to establish ...' error to go away and display the log on page by putting *MY* credentials in instead of the service account (but not successfully authenticate)
- moving the service account into the same AD OU as my account does not seem to change it ... only using my account credentials does.
- trust level is set to full
Is this some odd permissions trick that is new with .Net 3.5 (even though the ADmembershipProvider is still a 2.0 libary)? This should have nothing to do with MVC itself.

I am making a website in ASP.NET and I wanted to migrate to another mahcine for developing.On the first computer which I used earlier, I had copied the database from Program Files>Microsoft SQL erver>MSSQL1.0SQLEXPRESS>MSSQL>DATA>example.mdf and pasted this database in App_data in my website.Now, when I copied the whole webiste in my new computer and debugged it, it gives an error "Cannot open database "example" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'Sarin-PCSarin'. " when I try to login as a user in my webiste.

I have installed/compiled mono, xsp and mod_mono. But how do I configure apache to use it? I tried including the mod_mono.conf file and apache does see the module and loads it but when I visit an asp page I getService Temporarily UnavailableThe server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems.

I have a silverlight client that i want to get and write data to a DB located on the server . now this is what i did :
1. created the silverlight projecte hosted in asp site project, with wcf enabled .
2. created a DB with some tables in it.
3. created linq to sql classes, and wcf service with operation to fetch data from the DB, added the project the referance .
result:
when i debug it locally on localhost, it workes perfectly, but when i upload all the content to the server i get an error, my guess is that the service is not finding the DB . after I uploaded the content, all i did was change the connection string in my web.config file to the one provided to me by the hosting server.

I am running an exe file located at Server named Wget (Command line Web Crawler) using aps.net application.
When I run it from Visual Studio Development environment it run properly and gives required results.
But when I run it from the IIS Server its process run properly but terminated immediately and doesn't give required results and there is no any kind of exception.
I'm very new to silverlight and I'm trying to play a video located in the web project associated with my silverlight application.
What is the best way to get the URI of videos located on the server without hard coding the web address?
I've got a ASP.NET site that's located on a local server (MY_SERVER). And one of the things it does is pull up tiff files which are located on another server (ANOTHER_SERVER). The location of each of these files is stored in SQL. I pull up each of these images and am supposed to display them. The problem is:
the files are not named with a tiff extension (does it matter?) they aren't displaying at all.
I am using an Image control to display these images, and I'm not sure if it matters that the extension is not set (does the image control know the difference between an jpg and a tiff without the extension?)
I am guessing the images aren't displaying because they are not on the same server MY_SERVER that the images are located (ANOTHER_SERVER).
edit: actually displaying the tiff files were amazingly simple:

I want to show .nfo file to user.That nfo file is located on server and i am giving it's path in crystal report.
So, when user click on that path of nfo file in crystal report, i want to show that file to user.
I cannot open nfo file in browser.I got this error,

I'm working on an ecommerce project that is missing 5,000 product pictures.
I am trying to assign all products without pictures into a category located on a mapping table.
I know an insert can be accomplished from one table (or subquery) to another but I only need to find the product IDs and insert them with default values into the category mapping table that has all non-null columns.
The following code is the farthest I can get without help (I'm not strong in SQL), it won't work because my subquery returns many rows while the SQL statement is designed to insert one - I don't know how to handle this...
