RAMESH EMPCODE 001 SURESH EMPCODE 002 GIRISH EMPCODE 003

string [0] : TRINATH
string [1] : SHARATH
string [2] : SRIDHAR

THIS OUTPUT I SUPPOSE TO GET

Output

string [0] : TRINATH EMPCODE 001
string [1] : SHARATH EMPCODE 002
string [2] : SRIDHAR EMPCODE 003

IEnumerable - Get The Split String Into OpensReviews List

Sep 24, 2010

I have a string which is stored as a cookie. The string is made up of the following data:

int userId
DateTime expiryDate

A user can have a number of these, so I store them like this "userId,expiryDate$userId,expiryDate"

When I retrieve the cookie value, I then split the string and add it to a list. The list is List<OpenReviews> openReviews, which contains the two variables above. I use the following piece of code to split the string:

string[][] reviews = value.Split( '$' ).Select( f => f.Split( ',' ) ).ToArray();

As you can see it goes to an array which I then have to iterate through to add it back into my list. All of which seems extremely long winded. I believe I can use the code above to put it into an IEnumerable<IEnumerable<string>> format. The problem is I don't know how to then get it into my List<OpenReviews> I'm therefore looking at getting the split string into my OpensReviews list as efficiently as possible.

How To Split String Adding Extra String When No Data Is There

Nov 12, 2010

I have some code that splits a session into strings by a -

My session looks something like this 123-456-789- and I split it like this

Dim MyString As String() = Session("MySession").Split("-"C)

And i've got a some code like this

Dim x as Integer

For x = 0 to MyString - 1

Response.write("Ref: " & MyString(x) & "<br>")

Next

This writes the code like this

Ref: 123
Ref: 456
Ref: 789
Ref:

So it's adding an extra Ref where it shouldn't be because there is no data after the last -

Is there a way to stop this adding in the extra one?

Avoiding Comma Separator For The Last Value?

Jan 18, 2011

I am generating an output on a webpage in a format like this

({"1":"Jeff","2":"Tom","3":"Michael",})

For this, basically this is the code I am using

Response.Write("(" + "{");
//
for (Int32 i = 0; i < k.Length; i++)
{
Response.Write(Convert.ToString(k.GetValue(i)) + ",");
}
//
Response.Write("}" + ")");

Notice my output, after Michael" there is a comma which I do not want since this is the last vaue but this is appearing since , is in the for loop. How to prevent this/remove this last comma from appearing?

My output should be ({"1":"Jeff","2":"Tom","3":"Michael"}) (There's no comma after last value here)

DetailsView Separator Image Between Two Rows?

Mar 12, 2011

I'm trying to use DetailsView of asp.net to display data in the following format:

Name: Adam
Age: 18
Gender: M

And I wanted to add a lines (gray image) between each two rows

Name: Adam
Age: 18
Gender: M

I managed to put the image as another row between each two rows, but it make it start only on the second column (of the data) because the first column "saved" for the header (which is empty)

anyone knows how can put the image between the rows and make it "use" the whole line?

I did what I did using:

<asp:TemplateField>
<ItemTemplate>
<img src="../Images/thin_grey_separator.png" alt=""/>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>

C# - Cannot Pass A Input From Text Box To A Query String And Then Keep The String In This Box?

May 28, 2010

I have a simple ASP.net page:

<form id="form1" runat="server">
<p><asp:TextBox id="input_box" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
<asp:Button Text="OK" runat="server" OnClick="run" /></p>
</form>

I want to send input from input_box to a query string, and then keep this input in the input_box when the page reloads.

That's the code behind page:

protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
input_box.Text = Request.QueryString["input"];
}
protected void run(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string url = string.Format("?input={0}", input_box.Text);
Response.Redirect(Request.Url.AbsolutePath + url);
}

Problem is that when query string is not empty, string from input_box cannot be passed to query string. How to correct it?

Make Encrypted String Same Length As Input String?

Nov 24, 2010

I have a 15 digit string to encrypt.

I have tried using .NET's various encryption functions but all my encrypted strings are at least 24, 28 or 32 in length.

I have heard of CipherMode.CTS with Padding = None that produces the same length output as the input length but I can't seem to get the same result. I have toyed with the block-size, key-size and salt size.

I don't mind adding a digit to my input string to make it 16 in length.

Compare Validators To Allow Comma And Dot (both!) As Decimal Separator?

Feb 4, 2010

I am using a compare validator, which validates that the entered number is a valid double and also validates it against a given value (greater than zero). I am validating money amounts. Because of the location where the app is used, the locale sets the comma as the decimal separator. The problem is that when a user enters the value using the numeric keyboard, the number gets written with the dot as decimal separator, and is rejected by the validation. I'd like to have this validation done before triggering a postback (like a customvalidator would) and accepting both separators.
