I have developed a site using the TreeView control in Visual Studio 2008.When I try to run it, it only displays lines of text, with no treeview formatting. Is their something obvious I am missing here?
Here is my code: <asp:ImageField HeaderText = "Picture" DataImageUrlField="PictureLoc" DataAlternateTextField="AlternatePicLoc" NullImageUrl="~/ProposalImages/noimage.jpg" ReadOnly="true"></asp:ImageField>
Now the above code only works if the Picture is "null"
How can another image to display instead of that ugly red X if the image is not found. The DataAlternateTextField just displays the red X with the text that is there...
when i execute it using local port auto-asign port, the aspx page shows ok on the internet explorer.
when i run the same project from the IIS (Browsing the aspx page from the iis), only the controls text is displays without the controls (colors and menus .. ) - although the source view shows that the tags exists.
I am looking for the code for forforming the following task though jQuery in asp.net there is a search box on my web page I want that If I type any letter in the text box all the name of that letter stored in user table of the database should display in a list and so on pattern matching.

My understanding is that the ErroMessage is supposed to be displayed in a ValidationSummary control. My page does not have a ValidationSummary and I set the RequiredValidator's Text property to empty. I expected that nothing would be displayed when the validated control is invalid, but the ErrorMessage shows up at the place where Text is supposed to be. I am wondering if this is normal.
BTW, ValidatorCalloutExtender is used. Is this a cause?
Now I have to set the Display property to None to avoid any displaying anything. This is not a big deal, but I am curious.
I thought I was pretty smart when I figured out how to make menus with sitemaps--they display very well in IE but scatter all over the place in a Firefox browser. Is there any way to maintain better control over these beasts, maybe through tables or CSS?
m using the Ajax Control Toolkit's ModalPopupExtender. It works great but when I add a user control to the panel it is set to display, the modal popup is displayed with a black box over it.This is how it looks like:Is anyone familiar with the problem? Is there a workaround?
I am using a textbox to populate mySQL database. My problem is when I recall the text it displays without line brakes or line spacing, inserted in the input textbox. I have tried all the field types i.e. Text, Small, Medium Text and Chars. I have tried gridview, repeater and datalist all displaying continuous text without line brakes.
How can i change color of text from TreeView Nodes? When i click "EditNodes" there is no property which set colours, and in TreeView.Font also i don't see colour's property.
I currently have an Instance of the ASP.net ajax control toolkit combo box residing in a field set with a style of position:releative applied. The control also sits in a very plain table.
There are two problems with the display of the list:
The list does not sit flush with the text box. In I.E. 7 (which is the majority of my target audience, intranet where IE7 is the company standard) the list display about 10px below the fieldset, which is what the bottom margin of the fieldset is set to. In FF 2.0 the list sits sinificantly lower and off-set to the right.
Below the filed set there is more content in a div, also with a style of position:relative applied. The list from the combo box displays behind the content of this div, which is obviously an issue.
Removing position: releative from the fieldset resolves the display issue of the combo box, but results in other unwanted display side effects.
I built a user control that displays a drop down list of states. I'm using it, but if I try to put it in a listview control, all I get is the frop down with nothing in it.
Once I click on 'Engines included' a treeview having all the engine node should show. I am geting the engine collection dynamically from database.
1.What should i use to create enginesIncluded control? 2.How do i show a user control having a treeview on click of 'engine included' control? 3. I also need to show the selected engines on the top row as buttons .
I was working with treeview and bumped into this problem where i need to add child nodes to a treeview control, these child nodes are a combination of textbox and button control so that
i should be able to save the text as new child control,i tried overiding the pre render and post render text but didn't get the solution.
I've built a TreeView in ASP.NET 3.5 and it works great, except the expand and collapse images (which are 20px by 20px) do not align properly with the text in the nodes. Below is a screen shot of the applicable tree, with all items selected to allow you to see where the items are lined up. I need the text to be vertically centered (by one means or another) so it lines up with the center of its expand/collapse image.
I've tried numerous tricks to make this happen, including CSS, but can't seem to find the right technique.
