Just wondering if it is possible to set it so that when you have too many files open in Visual Studio, rather than display the little down arrow icon, it drops the tabs down onto another line?

I save this into SQL Server, but when I reload it the data comes out as

How I save it, how I load it, or both?
In an ASP.NET web application using C#, when we double click on design it will go to code behind page (cs file), but problem here is, when we double click on design its going to script of source file. Why it is happening?

However, the tutorials say that on the left hand side of the screen there should be tabs which say 'CSS' and 'Man' (apparently for manage styles. I don't have those tabs, so can't drill down into the CSS.
My toolbox has begun filling up with duplicates of the controls. A set of controls under a standard tab may be repeated as many as two dozen times. This is driving me crazy. I tried reseting the toolbox (which required me to reinstall the two cusom tabs I had), but that only reduced the number of duplicates--it didn't entirely eliminate them. Also, I keep getting a strange, orphan tab created with the label "#13119" . It has no controls, and I can't delete it, and it didn't go away when I reset the toolbox. It almost seems like it's adding another set of controls every time I open Visual Studio, or perhaps every time I reopen my project.

But I need to do it with those software in particular.I have Visual Studio 2005 and Visual SourceSafe 6 installed on my computer. When I try to open Visual SourceSafe 6 database using Visual SourceSafe 6 directly, I have no problem at all.Then I try to open a project solution I took from SourceSafe using Visual Studio 2005. Right away I receive this messageThe solution appears to be under source control, but its binding information cannot be found. It is possible that the MSSCCPRJ.SCC file or another item that holds the source control settings for the solution, has been deleted. Because it is not possible to recover this missing information automatically, the projects whose bindings are missing will be treated as not under source control.
Then an invite to chose a SourceSafe Database open. I click on BROWSE. First thing I noticed : The SourceSafe available databases list is empty (while I remind, it's not in SourceSafe 6. I can see there the COMMON database and the VSS database which is located on a different server on our network. Before that, I went in TOOLS->OPTIONS->SOURCE CONTROL, and make sure Visual Source Safe was selected as the Plug-in to use for a Source Control).So I click again on Browse, and locate my srcsafe.ini file. Everything is OK. It evens confirm me that my database path is
\dev2k3programmationVSS and that my database name is indeed VSS. So it found it. I then click on OK.
But when I do, the Database is not added to my available list, at all. The result, I can never select a source control, ever, which end in me not being able to work connected to the main source control of our network. Everything is working fine on every other computer in our company. Only this one have problem.Did I give enough description to my problem? I really need help on this one, because working disconnected from Source Safe can give a lot of pain to our team. Can anyone give me an hand? If you need any more info, just ask.
I have a website written in html and jquery that is working fine in safari or chrome, but its iframe not working in ie8. I debug it in visual studio 2010 express, and get "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method" in ui.tabs.js.

View 1 RepliesWhere does a toolbox reset get it's information? I installed Office 2010 Primary Interop Assemblies redistributable on windows 7 using visual studio 2010 professional. Not 100% sure if it's the culprit but now my visual studio 2010 toolbox reset only shows the tabs for "Excel Controls", "Word Controls", "Ribbon Editor", "Dialog Editor", etc....
Things tried: reset the toolbox and view all and it still only shows these. I can create a new tab and manually add in the tab with items like DataSet so they are there.command line reset devenv /setup devenv /resetsettings.I've reset the all settings in "Import and Export Settings Wizard". There's visual studio 2005 on the box and the toolbox is fine and exporting settings from there and importing into vs2010 does nothing.Tried repairing vs2010 to no effect. Logged out of the box as my id and logged in as a different id hoping it was something inmy profile, to no effect.Uninstalled o2010pia.msi via add-remove-programs but the readme says it doesn't remove from the GAC (which is verified).Cannot uninstall particular entries in gac even as admin in vs cmd prompt from gac (required for installer message).

Or if this is impossible!! can we use split option by Vertically splitting the Design and Source ? if later one is possible, I could stretch the view onto two monitors like here as suggested by Nick Craver.

I insert a text box, change the parameters to multi line and then pass the string to sql. Users insert comments etc, using line breaks, however because I just pass this as a string the line breaks are not there when they view the text box after input. Example: Here is a well formatted comment. as I typed in the text box today. Inserted in to sql as a string, returns this on select:

I have an input type, so a text box which has a browse button next to it. When it is clicked, the file that is selected has it's full path placed into the text box.

Now that I have the path to the file in the textbox of the input type, I want to load each line of this file into a textbox that is able to handle multiline text.
I don't want the file to be uploaded to the website. I just want to contents of the file read and placed in a textbox all with one click on the browse button.
In VWD, we can customize-edit-command to your heart's content. But there is none for what I used to get in NetBeans or Eclipse: go to the last edited position (after 5 minutes of search for the correct spelling of some name in the page).I know there is Navigate Back, but I often need to do click [Navigate Back] 10 times to get to 'last edited line'.
It would be nice if I can navigate through the 'green bars' (Yes, it is very difficult to find out what are green bars, once you found out, you want to be able to visit each of these using next or prev).
Also where is the documentation or help ofr each of the some 50 edit commands such as 'go to Reference'.
i notice that when i start next line of code and i press enter, it recompacts itself and the continued line moves left a bit... then if i place focus on the second line and press enter again, it (the second line) moves to the left some more, and it keeps doing this every time i focus on second line and press enter. this is as you can imagine, really annoying!!
how can i make it so that my second (and third etc) lines are formatted in a pre-determined way so they are always a certain amount of tabs indented to the right from where my line 1 starts??
Many times I remove in the code window (Using Replace and Regular Expression). Is ther a quicker way of doing this without writing a macro? The best way would be a shortcut key.

How do I build a web application project from command line using Web Developer Express 2010?
I am using the same command format that I would use with devenv.exe (Visual Studio), so I can evaluate us moving forward to VS2010. However, I am having real trouble building our code. Our solution consists of 4-5 projects, consisting of assemblies. The last assembly is the web site code. The root .sln file is the one which when opening in the IDE can click Rebuild All, and the DLL's of each project are generated and then brought into the website project.
However, when I run vwdexpress.exe from the command line nothing happens and no Dlls are generated. This is not giving me any confidence to run with VS2010.
the command line is like so:
C:inetpubwwwrootmyprojectvwdexpress /build release mysolution.sln
The in folders of each respective project are empty, but it takes 3-4 seconds for the command to finish, which gives me the impression it did something.
