I tried to install Visual Studio Prof 2010 trail version in my system, but i got an error saying 'Please remove/uninstall Visual Studio 2010 load test controller' to proceed installation. i uninstalled my previous VS2008 software from system and i could not find anything like 'Remove/Uninstall Visual Studio 2010 load test controller' software in my Add/Remove Programs.

I recently "inadvertantly" installed VWD 2010. I still have my Visual Studio 2008 (full version) installed and want to remove VWD 2010. I want to recompile my active projects under VS 2008. Here are the steps I am planning to undertake. Am I missing anything?
1. Save all active projects 2. Remove VWD 2010 using "Uninstall Programs" from the control panel.3. remove ASP 4.0 via the same route.4. Reinstall VS 2008 5. Reinstall all service packs.Will this bring me back to a fully functional VS 2008? Need I make any additional registry changes?For the record, I do like VWD 2010 and would like to upgrade to the professional version but I cannot afford to do so at this time. I need to build some console applications and this is not possible under VWD. I am also unable to install C# Express.

I have installed SQL Server 2008 express, reinstall it with advanced services, uninstall TFS 2010 and tries to reinstall it but fails. It doesn't want to completely uninstall.
So I'd like to clean everything by hand (deleting registries, folders) but can't find any info. I have deleted install directory but installer still memorized that TFS is installed.

I installed VS 2005 on my machine few months back and I worked with it. And now(its been 4 or 5 months I opened it last time) I saw that all the file options are missing and I'm unable to select any options( file->open ->website or web application) to open. so I uninstalled the VS 2005 from my machine and now tring to reinstall it. When I create a new ASP.NET project in Visual Studio 2010, it creates the scripts directory, like it should, however the version of JQuery it sticks under the scripts directory is an old version of JQuery. Version 1.36 I believe. How can I update this so that Visual Studio 2010 will include the newest version of jquery? I know I can remove it and manually add it, but I don't want to have to do this everytime I create a new project.

I had VS 2010 RC installed on my machine. Uninstalled it and wanted to install VWD 2010.
I installed Web Platform Installer as instructed on the download site, but there is no VWD Express under any tabs...including Tools.
FYI: I did install VWD 2010 using WPI on my other machine but somehow on this machine WPI does not show this option.
Not sure if VS2010 RC was installed on this machine and that's the issue.
Now i am downloading .iso image for VS 2010 Express that has VWD express.

I just recently upgrade my asp.net web project from visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2010. The upgrade was successful with no problems however im missing some features with this project. The One Click Publish feature(which is greyed out) in the header area of Visual Studio 2010 and the Add Config Transforms feature which is no where to be seen when you right click on web.config. When i create a new web project straight from visual studio 2010, these options work fine.

Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.
