I have fresh install windows wista 64 bit and trying install vs 2010 ultimate. When i agree i licence and clcik next i get "you have entered invalid product key" I have my extension key but i dont see any option where fill the key?

I tried to install Visual Studio Prof 2010 trail version in my system, but i got an error saying 'Please remove/uninstall Visual Studio 2010 load test controller' to proceed installation. i uninstalled my previous VS2008 software from system and i could not find anything like 'Remove/Uninstall Visual Studio 2010 load test controller' software in my Add/Remove Programs.

[2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft Application Error Reporting is not installed.
[2] DepCheck indicates VC 9.0 Runtime (x86) was not attempted to be installed.
The other day I installed VS 2010 utimate from the MSDN DVD English, Disc# 4699, June 2010, part number x16-88957. While I was following Chris Hammond article on developing DNN module, I downloaded and installed his template provided on codeplexhttp://christoctemplate.codeplex.com/.When starting a new project with his template I noticed that some of the fields such as Location, Solution Name, and check boxes were missing. I re-download the template to make sure it was'nt the problem. I also install vs 2010 ultimate on different machine to see that the problem was still there. Furthermore I also noticed that the problem wasn't specific his template but was also present with other templates such as Ajax Server Control, Ajax Server Control Extender, ASP.net Server Control. Today in one of the computer i installed visual studio 2010 professional edition, and successfully installed. But in my new project template "Asp.net MVC 2 website" is missing. Also I'm not able to open an already created MVC 2 project also. I'm also having MVC 2 installed with VS 2008 Sp1 in the same machine and is working fine. I uninstalled and installed again, the same is happening.

View 3 Replies I had VS 2010 RC installed on my machine. Uninstalled it and wanted to install VWD 2010.
I installed Web Platform Installer as instructed on the download site, but there is no VWD Express under any tabs...including Tools.
FYI: I did install VWD 2010 using WPI on my other machine but somehow on this machine WPI does not show this option.
Not sure if VS2010 RC was installed on this machine and that's the issue.
Now i am downloading .iso image for VS 2010 Express that has VWD express.

View 1 RepliesOpening an existing asp.net 3.5 project using VWD Express 2010, the database diagram file under Database Diagrams folder went missing in Database Explorer tab. Everything is in there when I first created the diagram using VWD Express 2008. However, when I look at the .dbml file, the associated relationship between dozens of tables exist and my project runs successfully. I'm planning to create another table with relationships from existing tables but seems like I have to painfully recreate them back from scratch. How can I recover those diagrams?

I have a Silverlight site hosted in an asp page, it has been developed using vs2010 using .net 3.5 framework and silverlight 4. It all works on my dev box. However when I publish the site and get it deployed I get the error:
Could not load file or assembly 'Moe.Tactical.Ttas.Web' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

I have checked that the ISS asp setting are using 2.0.50727, and that all my references are using that runtime also.
I am not sure what to do to work out what the missing dependencies are at this point (I don't have access to the deployment box, I will have to go and sit with a system admin).
My root problem is that I get the following error message from my CruiseControl server :
errorMSB4019: The imported project "C:Program FilesMSBuildMicrosoftVisualStudiov10.0WebApplicationsMicrosoft.WebApplication.targets" was not found.
I know all i have to do to workaround this issue is to copy the files to the folder but I just can't found anyone having thoses files and based on this thread I tried to "explicitly install the Web Application Project support on my machine" BUT I don't have such an option from the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional Setup tool ...where can I found the content of the following folder : C:Program

What should I do to get the New/Open Website back?
P.S: Although I am not sure, I attribute this to initial settings I choose on the first run of Visual Studio Ultimate. I have selected some thing like General Development Settings. Will changing to Web Developer Settings solve the problem? If so, how to change the settings?
