View 1 RepliesHow can I bind data to a textbox which is in a templatefield of a gridview ?I want to use ExecuteScalar , get a value and throw it to that textbox .
View 2 RepliesIn my gridview, I have 6 columns. The first 5 columns are filled with data retrieved from database.In the 6th column I want to display a value from textbox from same form. The value should be displayed on the row next to last row of rest of the columns. So my last column (i.e.) 6th column will just have all the rows filled with the same value of the text box.
First 5 columns of grid will be filled by selecting the college name from dropdown.The last colum (Date) must be filled with the date that is given in the textbox.It can be even after button click event(date of attendence).
It can be done after button click event also..

I was read your post: "Export GridView to Excel in ASP.Net with Formatting using C#" and is very useful. That code works perfect. But I need create a new format for a specific column in my sheet before to export it. For example:My DataTable have a column with decimal numbers and I'm trying reduce the tenths for each number.I want this: 2,874444 ----> 2,87 for a specific range. In this case I need it for all numbers in the column 13 or well said for the Column called N in Excel. Only reduce two tenths.
I used:
xlWorkSheet.Range["N"+h,"N"+h].NumberFormat = "0.00";
And no works (h is for rows, N is the column. Into a foreach).
I am trying to validate some textfields for decimal values and i am using regex to that.Here the expression that i am using currently. @"d.dthis works fine for examples 45.23, 455.345 ...But not these (45.23, 45.23abcd . its still allowing these.Looks like its only checking for the decimal text in between , start and end seems to be pretty for garbage characters.I tried putting ^ in the begining of the expression and $ in the end. But didnt make a difference.

View 1 RepliesI am doing the music store tutorial, and I discovered a problem, I don't know how to solve this. I am in Argentina, and our decimals have this format: '0.000,00' instead of the american format: '0,000.00'. I add the:
[Code]....
But now in the form when I write a number in this format '00,00' It shows me the message "Price must be between 0.01 and 100.00", but if I change that number to one in the '00.00' format, the client validator is hidden and It allows me to save, but then the server validation returns the following message: "The value '34.34' is not valid for Price." Cause when trying to save It must be waiting for a 00,00 formatted number. So...
i have textbox it should accept only integer or float values..........

I'm using 3 text boxes for allowing user selecting different ranges. I want to perform below validations on three text boxes.
1.User should enter a value (i.e. a valid number,doesn't allow to enter zero,decimal numbers and negative numbers) in 1st text box.
2. 2nd text box value should be greater than 1st text box.
3. 3rd text box value should be greater than 2nd text box.
I want to perform validations on client side only using JavaScript. If anything goes wrong I want to populate a message box.
How i bound user to enter only positive number otherwise give an error not a valid or not a number how can i?

The answer of which should add on 0.5 to the original value. If I were to use the increase value of 60 which then becomes 60/60 it will work.I'm dividing by 60 because the increase value is per hour so I make it smaller to get per minute value. Why is it doing this?
Some values are returning 2.0 but I need it to be 2.00 as this is a money value that is displayed to the web page.
I am doing:
Math.Round(value, 2);
Is there a way to force it to 2 numbers after the decimal?
I want to create simple rating page where player's place,name and rating is displayed. I've created database with ID,Name and Rating Columns, binded Gridview to this database and created TemplateField "Place". With following code I've created numbered list for Place:
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e){
for (int i = 0; i < GridView1.Rows.Count; i++)
I have a GridView, bound to a table (Meals) in a SqlDataSource.
Into that GridView, I have added a TemplateField, which contains a DropDownList (which displays the numbers 1 - 10, added manually; no Data Binding). And, I've added a ButtonField.
When I click the Button, I want the values of some of the GridView rows PLUS whatever value was selected in the DropDownList to be pulled out and stored in a second Sql table (Orders).
Pulling the rows bound to the SqlDataSource is easy but JavaScript is needed (I think) to pull the SelectedValue from the DropDownList. I understand women more than understand JavaScript (that's how little I know) and the code below has been kindly offered by another forum user who is at a loss, himself, now.
Here's the code and the error message I'm getting.

I want to add two image button in the TemplateField.. and add it in the gridview.
