I am trying to validate some textfields for decimal values and i am using regex to that. Here the expression that i am using currently. @"d.dthis works fine for examples 45.23, 455.345 ...But not these (45.23, 45.23abcd . its still allowing these.Looks like its only checking for the decimal text in between , start and end seems to be pretty for garbage characters.I tried putting ^ in the begining of the expression and $ in the end. But didnt make a difference.
@"^(d*(.d{1,4})?)$" It should allow positive numbers with an optional decimal, and 1-4 digits after. So values like 2 22 2.2 2.222 .2 .56 0.64
If I use that regex with Regex.IsMatch, it works as I expect. However if use it as a RegularExpressionAttribute data annotation, It will not accept .2, as being valid. It will accept 0.2, and it will 2, 2.22, etc but it will not allow me to lead with a decimal place. I can hack around it by applying a javascript onkeydown event to add a 0 to front if you lead with a decimal.... Am I missing something here? Does the .net double type it backs into not support leading with .2 or is the jquery validation broken or what???
I am doing the music store tutorial, and I discovered a problem, I don't know how to solve this. I am in Argentina, and our decimals have this format: '0.000,00' instead of the american format: '0,000.00'. I add the:
[Code]....
But now in the form when I write a number in this format '00,00' It shows me the message "Price must be between 0.01 and 100.00", but if I change that number to one in the '00.00' format, the client validator is hidden and It allows me to save, but then the server validation returns the following message: "The value '34.34' is not valid for Price." Cause when trying to save It must be waiting for a 00,00 formatted number. So...

I was read your post: "Export GridView to Excel in ASP.Net with Formatting using C#" and is very useful. That code works perfect. But I need create a new format for a specific column in my sheet before to export it. For example:My DataTable have a column with decimal numbers and I'm trying reduce the tenths for each number.I want this: 2,874444 ----> 2,87 for a specific range. In this case I need it for all numbers in the column 13 or well said for the Column called N in Excel. Only reduce two tenths.
I'm trying to execute this statement every minute with SQL Agent, I have it set up as a job:
[Code]....
It's trying to update a column which data type is set to decimal. Just so you know what I really need out of it, here is an example:
[Code]....
The answer of which should add on 0.5 to the original value. If I were to use the increase value of 60 which then becomes 60/60 it will work.I'm dividing by 60 because the increase value is per hour so I make it smaller to get per minute value. Why is it doing this?
I have a web application (done in ASP/C#) that has regex validation on a text box. Initially the regex works perfectly fine. But then I also provide a button click event (clear) that allows the user the clear text box and change their input for a new query. At this point (page post back) the regex takes control and maintains control of the text box so a new query can't be run. Can anyone tell me what to do so that the regex doesn't fire on page postback and allows new input for validation?
I need some help in regular expression.I am validating the textbox text when updating the records. When i click the update button, the first 5 letters should be equal to CM000 or cm000.How to validate this using regular expression in asp.net. does anyone know validationexpression for this.
I'm having a little trouble with using regex in linq. I want to be able to perform a search on values in my database. The goal is to insert a value into the regex and then use that to search a column in a table in my database for that term. I want it to work so that it gets all exact matches and also returns matches in which the search term is a substring of the term in the column.
I was trying to follow this tutorial on msdn, but it doesn't quite fit perfectly with my problem:
I am using one datalist control for uploading multiple images.I hv used one Asp:FileUplaod Control and one button in one itemtemplate.I am using reqired field validator and regular expression validator for file upload cntrl I am assigning validation group for both of them on ItemDataBound event of my datalist so that each upload cntrl hv same validaton group as required field and regular expression validator. Now what i want to do is - i want to show my error message in validation summary which is right at the top of the page.I want one know how to write javascript that will assign validation group of my control in datalist on which i click ?
I am not sure of the answer, I have created a field in the Database and created a gridview. To show the .9393939393 a couple of decimal in the gridview. I used this format
.ToString("$#.################");
Through out the experiment, I found out that the decimal and the numeric are getting same format, is that right.
I want a text box which will accept CSV values and the values can be any time of a day,i.e.,in one text box I can enter multiple clock times, separated by comma.Hour,Minutes will be separated by :.Second no required
If a.m. or p.m. can be associated it would be great[0-12 basis], otherwise 0-24 basis will be fine.
so that the resulting output does not contain words at the centre. In the above code instead of giving the word vocation exclusively, i have to mention some pattern, so that it will replace all the words instead of doing it for first sentence only. How to modify my code?
I have a textbox where I accept multiple email ids separated by a comma. I then split it in my code-behind. If an email id is invalid, I change the background of it using Regex.replace, like this:
