I hv a master page with image field which displays the profile pic of the user. now i want to display this image to the image field on the master page as and when the user logs in (like in fb) i hv used http handler to display the image from db. i m able to imsert and display image from db.but how can i write a select query to display the users image.i m using sql server 2008 and asp.net vb

I have an image on my master page like this:

The master page lies in Root/MasterPages/masterpage.master
Now this image is displayed in a content page which is in Root/SomeDir/ContentPage.aspx,
but it doesn't work in a content page which is in Root/SomeDir1/SomeDir2/ContentPage.aspx. Why?

View 1 RepliesI am working on a website, using C# with a SQL backend. I'm using the Varbinary data type to store my images because the Image data type is eventually going away. I got the images into the DB and can pull them back out to display on the website. My question is how can I put the images from the DB into an Image control on the website? The images will be different sizes, so I need to keep them confined in one space on the site. I also need to randomly display the images, one at a time, on the website. The user needs to be able to hit the Next button to see the next image when they are ready. The user will only view the images, not make any changes and send data back to the DB.
Since the image will be confined within the image control, how can I allow the user to click on the image and open in a new window? The image needs to be bigger to allow the user to see more detail. Or would it be easier to allow the user to zoom in on the image within the current window?I am using VWD Express, C# 2010 Express & SQL 2005 Express.

My website use master page as template. All my other pages spread in different level folder. Master page will get images (which use related path - related to master page) from style sheet file which located in App_themds's sub folder. When application run,The page will lost all images if the content page did not located in the same level as Master page.

I am having a folder with the name "MyPoints". I have created a new master page inside that folder.
I created aspx page outside the folder "Mypoints" and also inherit the master page.
When i run the child page, I cann't able to view the images in the master page.
When i put the page inside the folder "Mypoints", i can able to see the master page image.
I need displaying my image file stored from my database into the image control. I've had read some articles and watch video tutorial which there were perfectly working and I followed it but I wasn't able to make it work. The image control just displayed blank. I used Generic Handler to retrieve the image file from my database based on the articles and tutorials I've got. here are my codes below:

i need to display image from database in gridview. i have the above html and a select query executed from code behind which displays the image.
i am storing the image path in the database table and image in a folder.
Queries related to above
1. image size not able to set
2. the gridview image column will display image if the column data is not blank. but if its blank i have 2 default images male image and female image
so if the field is blank i need to display one of the default images depending on the gender selected
3. if the image is clicked it should show enlarged image as popup
I have seen numerous posts with this problem, however none of the solutions have worked for me. I am using asp.net 4.0 forms authentication. I have the following set in my config file.

The login.aspx page uses a master page and styles in a stylesheet located in a folder off the root directory called 'Styles'. I have also add the following to my config file.

When the page displays, the login page displays with the master page content, however all of the styles are missing. When I embed styles into the master page the styles show properly, so I know the problem is that the styles are not being accessed from the file. how I can authorize access to the stylesheet?
Can I load an image into the master page based upon which content page in loaded? For example, site theme "animals", 3 content pages (bird.aspx, cat.aspx, and dog.aspx), when any one of these pages are loaded, I want an image to be loaded and displayed based on that page's name. My DOC type doesn't support Frames and object tag has that scroll border displayed by default and I can't remove it because it will be a page from another domain.
