i want to show progress image move regularly untile page load is not finished.
I have to use progress bar when page postback. in my application report section is there. it's taking some time to generate the report. so i want to show some progress bar.
When page load progress bar should show. and when page load finish the progress bar should hide.
I googled many thing mostly they are using thread.sleep method but i don't want that.
The progress bar should fully depend on page loads.
I know there are a number of ways to show the user that a page is loading with a visual image. What is the slickest and most effective way of doing that. I would like to use Javascript if possible.Presently I can turn on an image calling a function form pageLoad() method of Javascript, but I can't figure out a way to turn it off. Couldn't get pageUnload() to be called.

View 3 RepliesI have a MVC view using the following VM.

Currently the page load slow. I am thinking of using JQuery load and render List<A> and List<B> separately and asynchronously. Can I still use MVVM pattern? Or I had to create to controller methods returning List<A> and List<B> separately?]

Inherits System.Web.UI.Page
Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
Handles Me.Load
End Sub
End Class

I need to develop image gallery
Image saved in Folder called Images and image Name , Description saved in Database Table Images.
On Deafault.aspx
Thubnail images should display with out any change in Quality i.e by DataList Control
On Click of Thubnail images Fullview of image with width and height same as image width and height
Next, Previous, Close Buttons on Popup window
I use .NET C# , I dynamically create folder to store the image I upload, ex:
strFolder = Server.MapPath("./folder/folder_"+folid+"/")
So I could create different folders according to the page unique id. I have also created a thumbnail image from the image I have upload (cropped ones).
The problem I am trying to figure out is to display these images as a slide show from these dynamically created folder (display thumbnail in the page and clicking the thumbnail need to see the full size image just like slideshow).
I was trying to see examples in jQuery but its just client side. So is there any way to load these images and display as a slide show from the directory. Should I deal with DirectoryInfo in C#? Expecting a simple one.
