I am getting some float values in front end from back end.For example suppose I get 7.770000 the through convert.double I am converting it into 7.77.This is perfectly fine.But when I have 0.00005 then convert.double is displaying it like 5E-05, which is not fine.

I am checking to see if minperc is null. However to check that it still is trying to convert the value to double. Cant figure out a way around it. Here is the error: Cannot cast DBNull.Value to type 'System.Double'. Please use a nullable type.
This code works somewhat, but it won't place all of the text into the textbox.. If I change a few things I get an error where I highlighted the code in red. Conversion from string "" to type 'Double' is not valid. But the code works, like I said somewhat, as you see it, it just doesn't load all of the text to the text box.555632.txt

I have a FormView that allows a user to register for a company event. I want to do a couple of things with this form.
1. I need to write this data to a MS SQL database
2. I need to send an email confirmation of their registration to their email.
I know how to do both of these things, but i am having trouble doing both at the same time.
It would be nice if I could do it in one click, but I coded it into two pages to try to help simplify it.
The first page allows the user to input their information into a formview and when they click the submit button, it places those answers into session variables:

The Second page confirms the users information by taking those session variables and placing them into labels:

However, after I place information into the formview on the first page, it throws up this error:

I have deveopmed i web site in ASP.NET and C# using Visual Studio 2008. I have a problem with performing button events twice. A user has a web page open. He click on a button (Save) and data is added to the database. He then presses F5 to update the page, and the button event is fired again adding more data to the database that should no be added. I've some webpage with listview control, and double click event on each row on it.
The problem is, that when I double click the row, event is fired, that's fine, but all of the page is selected (dark blue marked, you know...).
Is there some solution to prevent select all in the whole page, or whole aplication itself?
Some say it is not a bug it is default in asp.net. but for me it is a bug in logic. When you say refresh it should be reload the component that you are refreshing. But in asp.net i notice that they recalling all activity and viewstate like event and data that are triggered in the previous postback. My opinion it is a redo not refresh. this is only my observation on the issue dont hate me on this microsoft fan.

Basically, what I did is that: I have a table in SQL database and some of data fields allow null. I built Objectdatasource through dataset. When I built update page using dataset. It generate the following error before showing the update page correctly. It seems I have issue to retrieve the null value from the database through using objectdatasource through dataset. View 6 RepliesI'm using linq to sql,everything seems to be working fine except one thing,I'm showing any mapped float fields from my db tables as "Double?" instead of "Double", and when binding to a datagrid, any of those "Double?"fields don't show.If I iterate through the items and spit out the property,the float value is indeed there and properly returned.
