I have a gridview in which i have declared one static templatefield (with some button ctrls inside) in design itself.
I add the remaining columns to it as a dynamic templatefield by inheriting the ITemplate interface.
My problem is that now when i cause some postback for the firsttime after the Gridview is bounded, it works fine. But when i cause some postback for the second time, all the controls in the static templatefield disappears.
I have a GridView attached to an ObjectDataSource (returning a DataTable) in a UserControl. The code is really simple. Data comes down fine when the page is first rendered. When I click on Select or Delete (inside TemplateFields), RowCommand is supposed to fire but it doesn't, the page goes straight to Page_Load. I literally have 0 other event handlers that are set on this control and everything else in the codebehind shouldn't even fire if it's a postback. Also on postback, the Select and Delete buttons disappear. It looks like the TemplateFields are still there but they're empty. The data fields (all of two columns) post back fine.
I have 2 "Updatepanel" controls. Each contains a textbox linked to a "TextBoxWatermarkExtender", and a button. When I click on one of the buttons without to enter any text, all the watermark text disappear on BOTH updatepanel when they should remain visible.
[code]...
How can I avoid the waternmark text to disappear when I click on the button?
I added dropdownlist & textbox controls to gridview row dynamically on button click.
my dropdown Datavaluefield="Amount" & DataTextfield="Product" . when I select a product item in dropdownlist the corresding product item Amount should display in Textbox in gridview.
and dropdown selectchangedevent is not firing why?
I have several dynamic user controls, that I want to load them in seperate tab panels.but my problem is when the postback occures my user controls disapeare from my tabpanels. however I want to keep my user controls in my tabs whenever I click on each tab.
I'm getting some wierd behaviour with my User control. I've created User control & it has BUTTON which checks the validity of the number entered in the textbox of that user control. I have written Button Clik event handler in the USer Control code behind which checks the database table and tells valid or not. So far so good. In my application i dynamically add User controls. I make sure that I add them Page_Load so that for every postback UCs are visible. I'm ussing Session to save my UserControls. The problem starts at some point when i click the Validate button in the User Control all my user controls dissappear & after some postbacks all my controls appear. I don't know why this is happening. I have included my code for reference.
I started using the awesome chart controls with my asp.net apps recently and so far they've been nothing short of breath taking. Right now I have a weird problem, on the first load of my page, the chart control appears correctly and the tooltip is correct, however, when I update it with new data, the chart displays correctly, but the tooltips are for the previous set of data.
I hope this makes sense. The first time I load the chart, the pie chart segments and tooltips are correct, after a partial postback (to get the new data), the pie chart segments are correct but the tooltips are for the previous data set.
Basically once the tooltips are set the first time, they can't be updated after that without a full page postback.
Here's how I set the tooltip:
[Code]....
Anyone else noticed this behaviour and have a work around?
Currently my only workaround is to check for a partial postback and not render the tooltip, which I'd rather not do as the tooltip display actual statistical data as opposed to the pie itself (which uses percentages).
I put all my images in Images folder under my website. It works OK when I run it under development environment. When I deploy the application under IIS. all html image elements disappeard. What might wrong?
I want to make taskbar notification as like yahoo messenger or other messenger. When new message will come, from the taskbar small notification will appear as when new email come, yahoo do the same.
How I can make small taskbar notification in web application using asp.net?
I want to notify if there is new record has come then from the taskbar notification will appear and after may be 2 minute it will be automatically disappear as like yahoo do.
I have a form with textbox for name and two dropdownlist for month and years. Textbox has Requiredfieldvalidator and the dropdowns has got ustomvalidator.Initially when i dont enter anything in the text box and leave the dropdowns with default "MM" for month and "YYYY" for year i get error message in the validation summary at top and asterisk next to the textbox and dropdowns. Once i enter some text in the textbox and focus is away from textbox the asterisk disappears but even though i hav selected a valid month and year the asterisk next to the dropdowns is not disappearing. Same problem with the radio buttons.
in all browers this works but in IE the dropdown list items in my modal pop up extender vanish when I make a selection. I even have a ddl in ajax panel and the same thing happens. it seems like a bug.
I am using vs2010 and working on an ASP.Net Website my problem is the controls that I add to the designer surface disappear after I save and switch to code view. As shown in 'Fig1'
Fig1
Description: When I am using the designer surface, I will drag on a series of SqlDataSources and configure them. I then either save and close or just switch back to code view, if I switch back to code view the SqlDataSources do not exist but when I swtch back to designer view they are there, if I save and close then re-open the newly added control are not there.
The pages text are modified and styled with an HTML editor (teleric). The resulting html is stored in a database. The html and style tags are stored with the text ofcourse.
Now, sometimes the HTML tags are DELETED from the text! I realize this has happened first when i see the page text totaly plain on the site. Then i go to the databse and check, and the HTML tags and styling is not there anymore!
The only thing i can think of that could be reason is a method i wrote to search in the text. It strips the texts from html tags so that only the main text will be used when searching for the string that the user has asked for. But the modified texts without HTML tags are not saved to the database. I use LINQ and i never call a SubmitChanges();
In a project of mine I dynamically create controls and add them to the nodes of a radtreeview (a control by telerik) in theLoadViewState event. By the end of this event everything seems fine, but as soon as the Page_Load event fires the controls have disappeared. No code of mine is executed during this phase. I'd love to know why this is the case,
I need to assign the value to the form controls inside the method. For this i'm pasing the form as a parameter and by looping this form i'm getting and assigning the value to each control like the following,
UpdateControls(Me) Public Sub UpdateControls(ByVal frm As Form) For Each ctl As Control In frm.Controls 'here i'm getting all controls Next End Sub
i'm able to get all the controls but not tooltip, How can i get the tooltip control of the form in above method?
i have some question about the autopostback. when i set a drop down menu to autopostback to true, the content editor in the same formview is disappear..
