Mar 19, 2010I tried putting a html replace code into a string which is then placed into a drop down menu. Only problem is it still appears as ² instead of a small 2.

I have added the code-behind file manually so i guess i am missing something... it just says that the ddlMake element is not defined in current context.

Dec 1, 2010I am currently building a web site and I utilize cascading drop down lists. I am having difficulty clearing two of my drop downs. The application is utilizing Visual Basis. Here is what I found through my research but they are not resetting my drop downs after a post back:
cascadingDropDown1.SelectedValue = Nothing
cascadingDropDown1.SelectedValue = ""
I am stumped on this on and have spent several hours researching this. If anyone has a possible solution I would be greatful.

I have a dynamic data bound drop down list, when the user selects thier selected item I have to use the autopostback feature.
Problem is: when the page comes back it is at the top of the page not where i have the control.
I don't really need it to focus back on the dropdownlist but to scroll to it, I want to do it in the code behind.
Any "New" ways to do it, I mean new as in code from like 2010 instead of old code from the early days.
I really don't want to use Page.Register new Script...... code if I can avoid it.
What would be cool is a ScrollToControl() Function for my code behind that worked but didn't register script.

i did use regular expression to do that: res = Regex.Replace(res, ".*?", replaceHtmlBold); but it cant match the nested tag and none-nested tag at the same time.

There should be a feature coming up to disable this, but I think it's not in RC yet. At least it's not working for me.
Now, the problem is, that this Javascript kills my own Menu Javascript (I use an CSS Adapter). Is there a way to overwrite the stuff that comes from the Menu control? Can be a hack, just need something until this is fixed by MS.

The datasource of the dropdown is referring to a method in the C#class. That method has a generic array list which populates information into the arraylist. I am using linq to sql to get the data from the database.the strange thing is that i can register the data to the drop down list but when i select one of them the drop down list lets me to the first item. I set post back = true because i want to update the page every time an item get selected. I wrote a really simple code to check what was going wrong but still...no success.
