I have an object on the webpage that I normally will attach a source to. When doing that as in the code below it works fine.But if I have a empty string for setSrc1, then the webpage shows a message in the left down corner that:
"1 items remaining" Waiting for...
How would it be possible to not have this message if no src is set to the Object1 ?

I have a listbox and used the sqldatasource to load the items in the listbox. But if there are no items in the result then i need to hide the listbox and show one msg like "no items". I know to check the listbox is empty or not using "Items.Count " , but which event will i check this?

I have a list box and textbox, I can happily enter Email addresses into the textbox which are saved into a text file and populated in a list box. I want to be able to select a list item and delete it, along with it's record in my text file. I was going to do it by on the delete list item / button click, it delete's the text file and then writes and a new one with the remaining list items in the list box. Unfortunately it's re-writing the file but either not including the remaining list items. Here's some examples of what I've changed and what populates the text file:
StreamWriter1.WriteLine(Addresses.Items); - System.Web.UI.WebControls.ListItemCollection
StreamWriter1.WriteLine(Addresses.Text); - A blank line?!?
The code is below. The reason I wouldn't allow the user to delete the first list item is because I thought the code was working ok but for some reason putting in a blank line to start with, and if I deleted the line it'd delete all file content. No, I don't know why I thought that either.

I'm trying to get a better understanding of how I could've designed my app so that the Object Data Source could work with the properties of my business objects. i am using create user wizard and capturing other information within content template when a new userregisters. Some of the textboxes are binded to required field validators.there is a validation control on the page and ShowMessage box is True.If they dont complete some of the text boxes then the message box pops Up with the error message.It does not however include information errors like "User already exists" or Email address already existsfrom the create user wizard membership UserName and Password Textboxesis it possilbe to hook all of these up so I get one message box with all errors including membership ones?

However, after looking at tutorials online such as http://www.aspsnippets.com/Articles/Export-GridView-To-Word-Excel-PDF-CSV-Formats-in-ASP.Net.aspxand such, I successfully got the table I wanted but there are HTML content appended to the table as well.There was also a similar problem being brought up on the forum,http://forums.asp.net/p/1528174/3692826.aspx. The solutions didn't help me much though. However, I am not really sure how Handlers can benefit this. Furthermore, I don't want the user to be navigated to a blank page just to download the csv file. I tried to debug and insert removal code to remove the html code before the response object is being wrote out but seems even at the end of the writing method, the response object seems to be holding just the table content only.

I have a website that deliveres content from secure source (https://) after the user authenticates. I added a new page where I use an Iframe to display a pdf file. It works fine when I try it from the dev server where I do not get directed from https, but when trying from the actual site I get the error message 'Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?' I understand this is because the Iframe source is not secure (the source file is in the root directory of the webpage) Where should I store the content for the Iframe? Can I use a local directory on the server rather than one in the root directory?

Traditionally with an Object Data Source, the wired up class will have its public properties available for binding (i.e. Gridview columns, etc.) which works well. But what if one of my wired up business objects has a property that is an object itself; can I drill down to a property on that object property and still use it?
So in additiona to the traditional:MyBusniessObject.OrderID...I want to use:MyBusniessObject.Customer.NameID
Your 1st response might be to just wire up the 'Customer' class, but I need properties both on 'MyBusinessObject'and 'Customer'. I do not think this can be done, as the ODS will not display properties on an object instance property. I have tried manually typing in the drilled down value as well, but that wasn't a success either.

I am running one application where one gridview is there when i am deleting any data there it shows one message for deleting.

After editing the list of hardcoded items in a RadioButtonList on a ASP.NET page via the Design view, I find that the HTML source for the RadioButtonList still does not update to the latest list of items i.e items are still the ones before the changes.
Is there a way to synchronize what appears in the Design view and the actual HTML source? Or do I have to delete the RadioButtonList and recreate it?

But the funny thing is, that form submit works (even in debug mode) and finds an
ActionMethod UpdateBasket and returns View. The problem is that because of that html generated error w3c validators and google crawlers can't access the site (I think so, correct me if I'm wrong).

I have one page which contains 3 panels and 3 buttons. Each panel connects one button. When one button clicks, the relative panel appears and other panels are divisible. For each panel, I design a textbox, a merge button and a gridview. When user input information into the textbox, the gridview shows the detail data from the database and two checkboxes. The next step, user uses checkboxes to choose two different rows of data and click the merge button. I need to show a confirmation message based on the selection user made i.e. Are you you want to merge A to B.
write the code to show the confirmation message which is works perfectly in Page_Load() method. But the problem is the page contains 3 panels. Do I need to write code for each panel to show the confirmation message and put 3 sets of the code in Page_Load?
