I have the following code on the client side for retrieving data from the HTML Table and then send it to the server through the page method:

But I get this expcetion: Unable to evaluate expression because the code is optimized or a native frame is on top of the call stack.

I am querying a web service and get returned a SOAP message. I want to create a html table and select what node should be in what column and so on. I have been googling a bit but wonder if anyone of you know a good guide on how to do this properly?
View 1 Replieswell the question is simple but i searched all over, found crystal reports found many tools

i cannot use an other tools, or libraries other then the default with vs08 sp1
i cannot use crystal reports, as its datasource is dataset or xml none of which is there
my page on users click of button generates a html table and info within using c# code behind (i.e. at runtime) so how to write this stream to browser such that it becomes a valid pdf file?
Is there a way to copy a html table to a word document but it has to be exactly like doing it manually. Because i found some solutions but none was the same as doing it manually.
View 2 RepliesI have created a nested gridview and want to be able to export the gridview to CSV file. When I export it it also exports all the HTML in the file which I do not want. It is fine if i export it to and XLS file though.
I just wondered if anyone has managed to export to CSV with nested gridviews without the HTML getting exported also.
Here is my code

I have never used ASP before!I have a server which has a shared folder where all quotes for our small business are saved.I have setup a HTTPs website with authentication, which then allows you to browse the folder contents as HTML. If you WORD installed on your machine you can download and open. No need to be able to save or anything - it is for viewing only.
The trouble I have is that every now again you are on a site where you cannot open the document as there is no software to do so. I would like to be able to display the WORD doc in a web browser.I have googled and it seems it is possible, but I am struggling with a result.All I want to do is view the WORD document in an HTML page. It could even be just the text less the formatting and header/footer if this was easier to achieve.Running MS Server 2003 SBS, and currently still using MS Office 2000!
In my application i allow users to download a csv file from the App. When a user clicks on the Download file link , they see the Download file dialog box. My problem is that some o f the files opens as an HTML document.This happens intermittently.
Response.Clear();
Response.ClearContent();
Response.ClearHeaders();
Response.ContentType =
"application/octet-stream"
;
Response.AppendHeader(
"Content-Disposition",
"attachment;
filename="
+ sf.FileName);
Response.OutputStream.Write(sf.Data, 0, sf.Data.Length);
Response.Flush();
Response.Close();
I tried Response.End() insted of Response.Flush(); but didnt help.
I am creating a web app in ASP.NET with VB code behind. I would like it so that a user can input a url ("[URL]") and then when the user presses the GO button, I want the system to interprete the [URL] page (without navigating to it), look in the HTML source, and store all data that is present within the URL's <p></p> tags...is this possible?
I have noticed a similar thing present on [URL]. When you submit an article to [URL], it automatically looks at the URL's <meta name="description" content="" /> in the URL HTML file. I would like to do a similar thing, but instead extract all text between all <p></p> tags.
i can view the images from the database (datatype = binary) but the problem is the .doc and pdf is not appearing at the page...
[Code]....
I have a scanned pdf document which contains an image and some lines of text after the image what i need to do is to take the image part and convert it in jpeg without the text part,how can i do that in an application in .net,first of all is that possible that from scanned document containg text and image i can only extract image and then convert it into jpeg

View 18 RepliesI have a rendered html page which i am exporting to MS-word and downloading on a button click.
The code snippet in the button click.
Me.EnableViewState = False
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-word"
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachments;filename=XXXXXXX.doc")
Response.Buffer = True
Response.BufferOutput = True
The functionality works perfectly well in FireFox & IE when i checked in system testing envirenment(locally).However when in was moved on to hosting server(production environment) the functionality is not working in IE , however it is working perfectly in FireFox.
I am not sure on where to check the exact issue for.Will it be any caching related problem?.
In IE it is just not opening the download window which we will obtain when the rendered html content type is changed and response stream flushed.No exception is thrown.
I received the following response header :
HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Cache-Control: private
Content-Length: 15189
Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-word;

I have a asp.net page that generates a report. For better or for worse, the entire thing is generated using nested tables. I am able to export the page to excel, however I lose all my formatting (can't set column widths, etc). Is there a way to handle this? I'm open to adding any goofy MS Office -specific tags that are required to the html side of it.
If this isn't feasible and if anyone has any other ideas, the requirement is that users need a report that:
a) They can manually touch up with some personalization / area-specific data
b) Needs to be hide/show columns based on user's location
c) Needs to run from the web site.
I have converted a asp.net web page to PDF using itextsharp.
But the alignments i gave in web page and PDF are completely different.
The images i have used in webpage are not displayed in PDF and whatever code i wrote in CSS is not applied to PDF and the text in the CSS got printed in PDF.
How to provide alignments to controls to get my desired design in PDF.
I have fetched data from databse using Nhibernate as a data access.
I am traversing a list in View using foreach loop.
I want to export this tables data to Excel.
I'm having an AJAX HTML EDITOR, I need to import a word document into it.
View 1 RepliesI was looking for functionality in SSRS 2008 that allows the creation of a table of contents when exporting to Microsoft Word.
I have not been able to find any examples and thought maybe I would have to use a 3rd party component. Has anyone had experience doing this in SSRS and if so could you provide an example.
I want to display a large html document on my webpage with paging functionality.How can i achieve this functionality.
View 18 RepliesI am using crystal report and I am exporting data to PDF. In crystal report for a particular field I have HTML text as input. So I have set Text Interpretation as 'HTML Text' for that field in crystal report. But still in PDF few things are not working. That is, it is not showing bold, and bullets etc. Underline and color and font are working fine. HTML text is :

Image in the pdf file is not taking this size , its coming in the bigger size and not geting aligned to right. Text got aligned properly.
Response.ContentType = "application/pdf";
Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment;filename=TestPage.pdf");
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache);
StringWriter sw = new StringWriter();
HtmlTextWriter hw = new HtmlTextWriter(sw);
