I've got a standard ASP.NET control, and I want to insert a C# variable's value into its Text property. HOWEVER, I can't do this via the TextBox's "Text" property (VERY long story) in the C# code; it has to be via the an embedded variable reference in the ASPX file.
Anyway, when I add the following script to my ASPX page at design time:
DataRow[] dr; dr = dt.Select("stepid = '1' AND placeid = " + Convert.ToInt32(h1.Value));so dt -- contains so many Rows from that i am going to filtering the data and add that row to the another DT - Finally bind the Dt to the Dropdownlist how to resolve this issue ?But it shows error :[Code]....

I'm trying to localize an asp.net web application. Consider the following asp.net code. I'm running with CurrentCulture and CurrentUICulture set to German ("DE-DE").
I expect these two lines to yield the same result, but instead I get this:
Auswertungen für den Tagesabschluss End of Day
In other words, the first syntax <%= ReportTitles.EndOfDay %>successfully retrieves the value from the ReportTitles.de.resx file we're using, but the second syntax <asp:Literal ID="litLabel" runat="server" Text="<%$ Resources:ReportTitles, EndOfDay %>"/> gets the value out of the default US English ReportTitles.resx file.
I am having crystal report nto my application. By using report document I am trying to export the report into pdf. But while trying that I am getting the exception "property evaluation failed" but the report is exporting. I want to know how to avoid that exception. So far I googled for that exception, I got some idea about calling response.end internally. But yet its not clear to me. I am giving some code sample here:
i have created a aspx page with the script manager, update panels and so on. Now, when i use some jquery functions which are included inside the head tags, when the page is run, i find the script tags generated inside the body instead of the head tag. i'm using visual studio 2005 only.
I am building a forum and I want to use forum-style tags to let the users format their posts in a limited fashion.Currently I am using Regex to do this.As per this question:How to use C# regular expressions to emulate forum tags. The problem with this,is that the regex does not distinguish between nested tags.Here is a sample of how I implemented this method:
public static string MyExtensionMethod(this string text){return TransformTags(text);} private static string TransformTags(string input) {string regex = @"[([^=]+)[=x22']*(S*?)['x22]*](.+?)[/(1)]"; MatchCollection matches = new Regex(regex).Matches(input); for (int i = 0; i < matches.Count; i++) var tag = matches[i].Groups[1].Value; var optionalValue = matches[i].Groups[2].Value; var content = matches[i].Groups[3].Value; Now,if I submit something like [quote] This user posted [quote] blah [/quote] [/quote] it does not properly detect the nested quote.Instead it takes the first opening quote tag and puts it with the first closing quote tag.Do you guys recommend any solutions?Can the regex be modified to grab nested tags?Maybe I shouldn't use regex for this?
There is a button in the same page. While clicking on that button i want to display an alert message based on the selected radio list item using javascript. Some part of my javascript function is shown below
var RLCompareParameter = this.document.getElementById("<%= RLCompareParameter.ClientID %>"); if (RLCompareParameter.SelectedValue == "Forms") { if (document.getElementById("<%= lbAvailableForms.ClientID %>").value == "") {[code]...
But the if(RLCompareParameter.SelectedValue == "some value") always false. i think there is no attribute like selected value for RadioButtonList control.
I have a code block that contains around 320 lines of code. Everything runs fine when i debug it until i reach the section that updates a sql datasource. I am using:
I have 38 lines of update parameters before i call the sqldscc.Update When i put a break point before the update parameters all the values are correct at the break point at the end all the values are "Property Valuation Failed"?. I'm not using any response.end, response.redirect or server.transfer
Is there a way to apply your own CSS tags to <li> tags when using ASP .NET 4.0 menu control? For example, say I have an external style sheet that has tags "class1", "class2", "class3", and etc. I want to apply "class1" to the first menu item. Then if menu item is selected, I want to apply "class2" and if it's not selected, "class3". I played with various 'Static' styles, but just can't get it work. I finally gave up and created my own menu control that extends ASP .NET menu control and provides my own custom rendering. This works, but I'm wondering if there is a way to get it work with built-in menu control.
Can someone explain to me the rules around what can and cannot be evaluated/inserted into markup using the <%# %> and <%= %> tags in asp.net?When I first discovered I could inject code-behind variables into mark-up using <%= I thought 'great'. Then I discovered that if such tags are present you can then not add to the controls collection of the page (that's a whole different question!). But <%# tags are ok.
Is there a way I can inject a code-behind variable or function evaluation into the page using <%# ?
Where can I find the expiration date of SQL Server 2008 Evaluation Edition? It's not in Help >> About and I don't see it in the server properties either.
i'm doing ajax website using PostWebRequest() function, when i call any .aspx page to the target html element the output is coming fine in IE but in FF(FireFox) is coming in html format(html tags) IE output : [URL] FF output : [URL]
javascript functions : function PostWebRequest(postPage, HTMLTarget, parameter) { displayElement = $get(HTMLTarget); displayElement.innerHTML = "<div style='text-align:center;'><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><img src='images/ajax-loader.gif' algin='center' /></div>"; var wRequest = new Sys.Net.WebRequest(); wRequest.set_url(postPage); wRequest.set_httpVerb("POST"); var body = parameter; wRequest.set_body(body); wRequest.get_headers()["Content-Length"] = body.length; wRequest.add_completed(onWebRequestCompleted); wRequest.invoke(); } function onWebRequestCompleted(executor, eventArgs) { if (executor.get_responseAvailable()) { if (document.all) { displayElement.innerHTML = executor.get_responseData(); } else { displayElement.textContent = executor.get_responseData(); } } else { if (executor.get_timeOut()) { alert("Timed Out"); } else { if (executor.get_aborted()) alert("Aborted"); } } }
We have an application that is already deployed in the production environment. And currently it is using Dundas evaluation version. We tried updating it to the licensed version by simply pasting the dll file. but we got the error message as "The file has not been pre-compiled and cannot be requested".
<object classid='CLSID:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95' id='player' width="320" height="240" standby='Please wait while the object is loaded...'> <param name='src' value="http://localhost/TestVideo/DownloadAtt.aspx" /> <embed play="false" autoplay="false" controller="true" width="320" height="240" src="http://localhost/TestVideo/DownloadAtt.aspx"></embed></object> </object>
But the problem is that I do not know the video format, so I can not predefine object's classid.
I prefer method 1(since I do not need to worry about the video format), But it does not work on IE, I used to point the src to an ISAPI dll which does the same thing as DownloadAtt.aspx(below) and it works. Now I change to Asp.net, it does not work. :(
I am using visual basic web developer 2010 express. I have downloaded aspnetflashvideo web control to my toolbox. I then dragged it onto my web form and get the following 'Unrecognized tag prefix or device filter 'AspNetFlashVideo'.' Is there something else I need to do when I added this control to my toolbox?
Question: Is it possible to embed .skin files as a resource?
I am creating a library of user controls(grids, buttons, etc.) that are common among all of our web projects. I have included several common javascript files used by the controls by adding them as an embedded resource and registering them as a resource using RegisterClientScriptResource. Everything works great.
However, the last thing I would like to do is embed skin files in this project so that all the controls have the same look. I know I can control look solely with css, but I would like to control some of the other asp attributes as well(ie AllowSorting and AllowPaging attributes of a grid). Is it possible to embed skin files as a resource? Or will each individial project need a copy of the skin file? If anyone could provide insight on how I can go about embedding a skin file..
I am staring a new site that would provide simple gadgets that can be embedded into any site for easy use. i am developing my application in .net,vs2008 ,c# . but i have no idea about developing applications that can be embedded.
Is this even possible? I'm trying to pass the DataKeyName (Primary Key) of my master gridview to an embedded child gridview, using a select controlparameter of the SQLDataSource control.
