Web Forms :: Formatting AJAX Toolkit Accordion Control In VS2010 Designer Using Skin File
Jul 9, 2010
When I format an accordion control using a skin file (as opposed to entering the formatting as attributes on each <asp:Accordion> tag), the control renders as expected when the website is run. However, in the VS2010 designer, the control won't display but instead shows the generic "Error Rendering Control" box which hasthe exception, "Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute."

What's the proper way to use AJAX control toolkit in VS2010? I created a web page and drag a the Calendar Extender from AJAX control Toolkit and it gave me whole bunch of code. Actually doesn'y matter which control I try to use, the result is the same.

I've practically spent seven or eight hours trying to get the ASP.NET AJAX Accordion to work and it simply will not cooperate. I have been to every imaginable corner of the web to Bing and Google, read post after post on this forum, and done any other thing I could possibly think of to get this to work, yet I still hit this wall.
Here's the code I've been using to get this to work:

As for the Massachusetts/Arkansas bit, I found that on some other forum that said that coding would work (it didn't for me). I'm hosting this failed attempt at [URL]. I do have the Bin folder in the project, so that's not the issue.

Adding an Accordion only creates the outer most tags. I then have to add the headercssclass, contentcssclass etc. info. Then i have to manually add <Pane> tags, and then add Accordion Pane controls. Using VWDE 2008, is there a way to customize the control so that adding the Accordion control automatically adds this other info? Ideally with 2 Accordion Panes to start, but even just getting the various Accordion properties and the <Pane> tags added would make it much more <Pane>less!

Quite some time ago I used an old version of the AjaxToolkit. Now I decided to load the newest version.
Below code shows me the HEADER and CONTENT ok, HOWEVER:it seems that no theme (skin, CSS) areused / found / recognisedwhen running the page I see the header and content I even can click the header and the text fades away correctly!I used drag/drop from the toolbox in VS2008

I have an Error in the design view when I use the ajax toolkit. it says rendering Control Accordion - An unhandled exception has occurred. Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute. I have the relevant service pack, download ajax toolkit and I have used the appropriate declerations on the top of the page, I hope. I haven't yet even put anything on the page and the designer view shows the above error.

our company just upgraded to VS2010, but we have not upgraded to .NET 3.5 or 4.0 yet, we're unfortunately still using 2.0. I have the toolkit for 2.0 that I was using with VS2008, but now that I am using VS2010, my AJAX items no longer work. I was wondering first of all if it's even possible to use the old 2.0 toolkit with VS2010, and if so, is there something special I need to do to get the controls to work now that I have opened my project in VS2010?

This is my first silverlight Application. I am trying to use Rating Control from 3.0 Toolkit with VisualStudio 2008 Here are the problems: I am unable to see designer view after adding Rating Control and few other controls. I am not getting any errors or warnings on markup or while compiling. Trying to access Property window for any control is giving me this message " Property Editing not available". Is this the way silverlight was made available with Visual Studio or is there something I am missing here?

I would like to restrict what they see in the file upload dialog, which is set to "All Files" by default. I understand how to validate that they only uploaded a certain file type, that is not the question here. I would just like to know how to default the file type in the file selection dialog.
Is there any way to change this to "PNG only" or "*.png"?This is using AsyncFileUpload in the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit.

I have come to love this ToolKit massively;I wouldn't dream of completing a project without it now however I have come across a bug since the introduction of the WebKit Jscript rendering engine into Chrome and Safari3+. Therefore I have had to edit the source files of the ToolKit. I only made a simple change to accommodate for the lack of scrollTop offset changes within the HoverMenuExtender control. My question is how do I recompile the source so that it uses the HoverMenuBehavior.debug.js?

am trying to use the AsyncFileUpload control in ajax toolkit to upload a picture file, save the file on a location on the server's filesystem and display the picture file back to the client system. I have both the image and AsyncFileUpload controls inside an updatepanel but its seems the UploadedComplete server code is not firing when the file upload completes any clue?

I have the following inside of my Header Template of an Ajax Accordion:
[code]....
I need this to work without JS as well, which is why I still generate the HREF on the links, so I'm just intercepting the click and then invoking the parent click which in turn toggles the accordion header.
This works in IE but no Firefox, Chrome.
