Web Forms :: Get Return Value From A Javascript Function Before The Page Is Loaded?

I have web page that will call the macromedia detection tool kit. But I cannot get the hasReqestedVersion value before the page is loaded. I tried to use RegisterClientScriptBlock or RegisterStartupScript inside of the Page_load function.

It looks like JavaScript does not have access to authentication cookies ('ASP.NET_SessionId', '.ASPXFORMSAUTH') in the http headers I can see cookies but document.cookie object does not have them.
I am writing an ASP.Net application. I am making use of master page in it. I have several child pages with me, which consist of some java script functions; Let's say;
function ChildPageFunction() { //Do something; }
And master page java script function as;
function MasterPagefunction() { //Need to call ChildPagefunction(); here }
Now is it possible to call ChildPageFunction() from MasterPageFunction()?
I have a javascript function on my Master page, how do I access it with a dropdownlist of a content page. Not from codebehind, I can do that, but from the control itself such as the onSelectedIndexChanged event.
display the first tier of data so the user can select and tweak desired rows. On occasion, they will want to drill into a row to see the children and select/tweak them. After a tweaking session, I wanted to be able to commit.
If I build an aggregate ViewData and prepopulate it, I can display it just fine in the View, and I get the collection back in the postback just fine.
Starting with empty child data, I experimented with jscript to fetch that data and displayed it by adding elements with jquery.
What I can't figure out how to do is to return that data to the controller. The newly added elements aren't in "Show Source" ... I heard elements added via jscript are not posted back. I even tried adding items to a prepopulated list ... only those items originally passed in are returned.
I don't need to run the function every time the page loads!!
But, I would like to have the control when the function is to be called.
The only way I thought of is calling my function with OnLoad in the body tag and having a hidden field to be checked and then run the script accordingly.
e.g:
<body onload="ScrollToView();">
Is there a better way? For example, running the function from Page_InitComplete handler?
I have created javascript function as mentioned below to hide/show some control. I am calling this script on dropdown on 'onchange' method. In dropdown first item is "-- Select --". I want to execute it on Page Load function, so by default it will be hidden. I tried to call like this on Page load, but it is not working.
