I have a an asp.net label control on my page.I have set the style to overflow: auto.
What i would like to know, is when there is a lot of text in my label and the vertical scroll bar is showing, is there away i can scroll to the end of the label using javascript?I would like the user to always see the bottom section of the label.

I have a panel with a vertical scrollbar. When I set the property of the panel "enabled = false" then I can't scroll anymore in IE8, but I can still scroll in Chrome.

I am using a modal popup which works fine, my modal pop up has a fixed size, in case the content is longer it doesn't show up or gets cut after the height of Modal pop up. want to add a CSS property to the body of popup so that incase of long content a scroll bar should show inside the popup.

I have a custom C# created listbox. This listbox is a multiple select listbox. Unfortunately, the client I am working with wants it to populate with customer data. This returns well over 20k options. I am getting this from SQL. So the list is dynamic, depending on the customers in the table in SQL. The list is ordered alphabetically by the customers last name. So Jim A would be first and Tony Z would be last.
The problem I am having is that the list is so large, and needs to stay at around 100px in height, it is damn near impossible to navigate (think watching an hour long youtube video, clicking a millimeter and skipping like 10 minutes of time). Sorting through the entire list would take a little longer, but, I can always add a loading jquery pop up for the second or two it would take. I already added a row of A-Z links to the bottom out of the listbox control.
Inside my if is where the magic needs to happen. Anybody know of a way to scroll to that value? I cannot imagine it would be this difficult. I tried selecting that value, then item.scrollIntoView() then deselecting that value. I do not want to select the first value, but rather just scroll to it. (think like an ipod touch songs list). Is there anyway to find the scroll bar position of the particular item then scroll to it?

I have found many articles claiming to show you how to set the scroll position of a ListBox, but what they really end up showing you is how to set the SelectedIndex of a ListBox.
Here is what I need: a databound ListBox that's usually going to have around 25 items in it. When the page loads, ALL of the items in the ListBox are selected, and the ListBox is scrolled all the way to the bottom.
I've got the "All items Selected" requirement already, but I can't figure out how to get the "Scroll to the bottom" done.

When I run my project in Visual studio..it is working fine with all browsers. when I publish it and run from local IIS, Firefox is not supporting scroll bar. but when I press Page down button, it goes down. It look very weird, can anyone tell how to fix this.

I have a page that uses AJAX updatepanels. On this page, we have some radio buttons with Autopostback set to true. The problem is that after the postback, the control was losing focus so that when the user would hit tab, control would be restored to the first control on the page and not the drop-down which fired the event. As a fix, I wrote some set focus code in the radio button's oncheckchanged event. This seems to have fixed the problem with the focus. The problem I have is that the browser loses its scroll position every time I click on one of these radiobuttons. Is there a way to maintain scroll position? Maybe there is another way to resolve my original problem of setting focus that will prevent this from happening.

I have a panel on a pretty basic C# page. I've set the height, and width, and set thescrollbars = "Vertical". However, on some pages, the panel adds a horizonal scroll bar. It seems very random, and I can't figure out why or how to prevent the panel from adding horizontal scroll bars. The content in the panel is dynamic from a sql database, and I use a Repeater to display the returned sql.
Here is my code from my page for the panel. Did I forget something?

I have taken a div inside the UserContol.
this usercontrol is placed in a page having master page.
In div i have checkboxlist control .
I want to preserver scroll position of while postback.
I have also used UpdatePanel in which i have placed this user control.
I have also triedMaintainScrollPositionOnPostback="true"
but does not work.
My page structure is this:

I want to maintain the scroll position of a page. So I try to get the page cordinates and set the position on the page load (actually I've a postback in my page) using JS as follows. What I've done is on a client click on an image get the page cordinates and keep in a hidden field.

GetScollerPosition function invoke in an image click event. But it's not work as I expected, the SetScrollPostion always find the value of hidden fields as zero.

How to remove the horizontal scroll bar from a TextBox on web form.I am using IE8.0

The horizontal scroll bar is always visible weather there is text or not, in a disabled mode.
And the vertical scrollbar of textbox flickers when I am moving my mouse cursor over anchor tag <a />. For textarea control the scroll bar automatically goes up. I am hiding and showing a div tag on click of anchor tag.

I'm creating a forum and the forum posts are items in a datalist.
Now I want to include the nifty feature that when one has replied to a message and the forum thread page is being displayed, the page is autmatically scrolled down to the message one wrote (the same thing goes for linking to a message, one wants the page to be scrolled down to the right place from the start).
I guess this could be done using anchors an html, but is there a function i vb.net that would do this for me?

I have this working in several pages in my site but in one page it wont work!
this is the hierarchyof the page.
I have a treeview in a div,in an asp:panel, in an updatepanel in a user control. the panel is shown/hidden using the ajax modalpopupextender.
this user control is placed in a content page (using a master page).
Now that you got the above, I'll let you know what ive tried already.
I tried doing this:(which works perfectly when the treeview is placed simply in an aspx page)

Basically i kept playing around with it trying different ways but seems like the selected node is just not visible even though i call this JS function after i have selected the Node in code behind.
