I have a project that is based on a Master Page. I also have user controls that I use as well. Any page that requires scrolling in Design Mode will not scroll. The scroll bar is disabled. I have to switch to Source Mode and then add the text that I need or find the controls that need modified or updated. I have user controls that require scrolling as well but they work just fine. Only the pages tied to the master page. This is very annoying and only happens on certain projects.

How to scroll child page part only (without scrolling master page part)
I want to maintain the scroll position of a page. So I try to get the page cordinates and set the position on the page load (actually I've a postback in my page) using JS as follows. What I've done is on a client click on an image get the page cordinates and keep in a hidden field.
[Code]....
GetScollerPosition function invoke in an image click event. But it's not work as I expected, the SetScrollPostion always find the value of hidden fields as zero.

I am trying to use an anchor tag to automatically scroll down to "position1" when the page loads.
I have created this name tag in the .aspx page and then trying to redirect to that tag in the page_load event but this results in that the page doesn´t load at all and cant be seen in the browser:
I have some collapse able anhcor link tags on a page that reveal some text when clicked on i.e.: [+] Topic This is all done in javascript client side. I would like to maintain the users scroll position on the page when these links are clicked on. They dont cause a postback as iv mentioned above its client side javascript.
View 6 RepliesI had found one line code in vb which did this, using the System.Web.UI.Page, but I can't find it back. Someone could tell me what it was ?

I have a HTML table in a webpage of an ASP.NET website.

I have serveral long ASP.Net pages, I use RequiredFieldValidator, RegularExpressionValidator and ValidatorCalloutExtender for validations, Submit buttons are typically at the bottom of the pages. The problem I have: if the errors happen at the top portion of the page when Submit buttons are clicked, the forms do not scroll to the top automatically, the users have to scroll up to see the ValidatorCalloutExtender.

I have a DropDownList displaying around 75+ values and it shows a scrollbar. The problem is when the page displays the DropDownList, I can't scroll to the first few items in it. It kind of goes outside the explorer.
The only way I can get to it is by downsizing the page using maximize button and then access the list. I'm using VS 2008.
I'm using MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback=true property but this doesn't seem to work with chrome. (works on IE),
Is there any other way to maintain scrool position without using this property?
I've currently got a RequiredFieldValidator added to the top 3 fields of each generated set of questions. The questions are dynamic, and what I'd love to do is pop up a red "YOU MISSED SOME FIELDS...blah blah" msg above the Submit button when the user misses those top fields. (I did do this previously with a custom validator, but I've had trouble doing this w/the dynamic fields that I've created.)Right now, if you miss a top-3 field, the page just does nothing, and the user has to manually scroll up to the top of the page to see "required field" pop up in red next to the missed field.

I've got a modal popup and when it loads contents that are taller than the browser height I am unable to scroll down to view the rest of the information. Instead the background can scroll but the popup won't, I'd like to have the popup stay in place so the users can see the bottom of the modal.

View 9 RepliesI have a page with two updatepanels both using a timer's tick event to do various bits. The script manager is set to conditional updates and the panels are set up to use specified triggers but when the tick event fires for either the page flickers and the scrollbars reset to midway down the page. This renders my application unusuable.

View 1 RepliesMy page scrolls down a bit, so the problem is when the ASP.NET validation kicks in (its a server side validation that sets a table row to visible if there was a failed validation for a given input box). The problem is, when there is an error, the page scrolls back to the top.How can I force the page to the bottom? can use <a name="asdf"></name> but the page doesn't refresh normally since its a asp.net image button.
