View 9 RepliesUnder Visual Studio 2010, I'm developing an asp.net application. I added a folder to my project called Flash. Under Flash folder I added a swf file with its external resources to run.
The folder content:
1- ScrollingImages.swf file to lunch the flash
2- ScrollingImages.xml file that the swf file uses to read images from thumbnails folder
3-thumbnails folder which content images used by swf file. I can embed the swf file to html easily using this code:

But when I use the same code to embed it to asp.net page I will have a problem that the flash will run but I cannot see the images so the swf file unable to locate the xml file and the folder of the images location and they all in the same folder.Here is the code I used in the aspx.net content page.

I also tested it in aspx.net page and I'm getting same result no images appear. I know that the problem is related to who to embed the swf external resources (the xml file and the images folder) to the aspx.net page but I searched a lot and I could solve it.
My project has the following repeater menu shown on the Master Page. I need this menu to remain hidden until the user logs in. How do I access from content page?

The swf file is depend on other files such as skin file, image, video each... these file are on same folder where is my swf file located and they are all under one folder my my VS2010 project. When I run the swf file from the folder in the VS2010 project is working OK but when I embed it to aspx page I will miss some controls in the flash. I tried another swf file that depend on external resource to run such as xml file, and images, jscript fie and the swf file will lunch but will not work and there is no images would appear but still when I run the swf file from the VS2010 project will run OK.

How to I put this form on my page? The problem is I have a master page which wraps the content pages content in the ASP.net form, I can't nest the forms.
I'm using this Ajax script [URL] to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.

In master page I am using asp content place holder. And in my child page I am using pure html coding. When I attach master page in my child page I am getting this error.Content controls have to be top-level controls in a content page or a nested master page that references a master page.

I am not using any Content Place Holder or Master Page (does the error refer to the Site.Master file because while I can see it in. Solution Explorer, I never use it. All of my aspx files look like this along the top with no reference to Site.Master:

I am building a website in which all of the site layout is in Master page and the content of the site is in the inherited pages. I have various links for navigation in which i simple use Response.Redirect to transfer to different pages. Now the problem is that I want to put the content place holder inside Ajax Update panel so that the postbacks are Asynchronous and I want to show the postback by an animated image inside Update Panel progress control. The problem is that I am unable to achieve this result and the entire page is posted back and rendered again. I have placed the content place holder inside the Ajax control toolkit's Update panel but it does not work. Is there any way that I can change the content of the content place holder to a new page with asynchronous postback.

I would like to use HTML input file type in my aspx page to allow user to browse for a excel file and then read the content of the excel sheet programmatically.If I want to read the excel sheet I need the full path of the file to connect to the excel sheet using asp.net.I do not understand how can I get the full path of the file.I know I can get the filename using postedFile.FileName property.But I need the full path of the file.
